We have been getting take out from here for years, but lately they have used their game considerably. Ordered Hunan Chicken and was delighted to find fermented black beans, snow peas, Bok Choy. San Francsco Seattle great food.

This restaurant has the best Chinese food in the area. Everything on the menu is delicious - from the wings and rice to the egg rolls, lo mien, and meats. The dishes are cooked perfectly and bursting with flavor. The staff is also very friendly.

Amazing food! In my opinion, it’s better than TR’s Oriental. Nice and moist rice, seemed like premium ingredients were used to make this! I try Beef with Broccoli just about every Chinese place I go, this was 3rd on my list of best Beef with Broccoli. Red Bowl is 2nd, PF Changs is 1st. Go and try it out! Definitely recommend! I’ve had takeout from this place about 5 times now. The food is always exactly the same. I get the mei fun and hot sauce packets and It is just the best thing ever. By far the best Chinese I’ve ever had. The staff is very professional and fast as well. They pile it up too! If they served bags of chips, there would be 0% air in the bag lol

I have been a patron of this restaurant for many years. Even though I no longer live in Travelers Rest, I will make a special trip just to enjoy the delicious food at Chang An. The family-owned restaurant provides excellent food and the owner, David, and his family treat you like one of their own. The Sesame Chicken is exceptional and the Mushu pork was always a favorite of mine, although it is no longer on the menu. If you are looking for affordable, high-quality Chinese food, Chang An is the place to go.

I will not be returning to this restaurant. The person taking our order was extremely rude, and I was surprised my husband didn't confront him. We attempted to pay with Tap, but the staff member insisted that my husband's card was no good, repeatedly saying it wouldn’t work. The machine indicated there was an issue with the card, but my husband explained he had money available and offered to get cash instead. The staff member then said they wouldn’t cook anything until we paid. While I understand the policy, the way he spoke to us was unacceptable; he had a terrible attitude.
