"Food was good. But one of the ladies I was with ordered Clams in a bowl, they did not have those little forks to get little clams out of shells. So she's trying to get out with a tablespoon or fork provided. Ridiculous. Also they did not have regular cream or half and half only French Vanilla, ugh so coffee was not good. The carrot cake was over cooked and dry, and needed more frosting. but my Fish and Chips were great. Buy the little forks and some half and half and don't overcook the carrot cake. And then it would be great"

"We LOVE Outlaw Coffee Co. and Ann, Bruce, Sarah, James, and Kyle! It’s our favorite local breakfast joint. It feels like having breakfast with family there, comfy, and always great convo. I enjoy sitting at the bar top with my kids to eat. The food is so fresh and delicious. They’re super kind about my allergies too, gluten and dairy, the gluten free toast they use is amazing! Don’t get me started on the coffee, they use Blind Dog Coffee beans and their syrup syrup combinations are to die for. Love you guys, thanks for A+ service and friendships!!"

"Sat down on the patio and no contact from a server for 15 minutes. After sitting outside wondering if I should go inside and check in I went in and asked for a menu and ordered a beer a coke assuming this would get somebody 's attention that we were out there along with the other 7 occupied tables). The server then came out and assisted all tables but ours so the 3rd time we were ignored I flagged the server down and asked if we could order food. Her response was the bartender is your server because I had bought a beer inside due to her lack of urgency to greet us and get us our drinks. This turned into us sitting on the patio with no food or service for an hour because the server and bartender obviously had some sort of childish behavior between each other which drove me to cancel my order and go back to sasquach. While at sasquach many customers told me they have had similar experiences with service at chop 40 and they and my self no longer go there. Worst experience at a business I 've probably ever had. 6/4/23 mid day"

"Time for an update..... five years later. We have been coming here for decades. A ritual stop off. Not as good as it used to be based on my last 4 trips this past year. We liked it because the prices were really good. Its diner food that isn 't high quality, think Dennys but when it was inexpensive, it was just fine. Now a lunch for two ends up costing us $40+ after tip that I think I should have just went to Port of Subs inside the gas station. Ordered the nachos because it said with homemade salsa. It was probably the grossest nachos I ever had! The meat looked 5 days old and crispy. The salsa was a Wtf is that! it looked like salad dressing and didn 't taste good either. Cheese was lumpy. Bleh, I could barely eat it. They still have their brick oven pizza on the menu so I would recommend that as it is fresh and made to order. Service is friendly although limited. What I mean is that there is usually no more than 2 people on staff that I am surprised that they don 't have a sign that says, closed due to staffing issues like the coffee shop inside there does. For that reason, I like supporting the small business and will probably continue to stop but it won 't be a MUST do like years past."

"Upon check in I had to tell them we had two pets, I sent an email ahead of time and no response. I also asked for a ground floor room since I had my mother traveling with us, none of this was received so we were stuck in a third floor room which was ok but not even close to the elevators and with pets it?s not easy. The lady who was checking me in was so nice but when she asked if we could be moved the manager snapped and said we are full. Ok it was just a request. The elevators are small and only one seemed to be working and very slow. Our room had a drainage issue, the sink and tub would not drain. We discovered this the morning of checkout early or I would have made the switch rooms. Beware there are taxes and fees that they so t tell you about up front. For example a resort fee, this is not a resort this is a casino not the same thing in my opinion. Hawaii is a resort. We won?t ever return to this place we were not happy. Also we are at Mel?s and the food was barely good."
