"I was having an early Mothers Day dinner with my son (he lives out of town), and I was looking online for a seafood restaurant. I came to Coastal Crab Company’s website and the description and pictures of the food looked so inviting, I wanted to give it a try. However, when we were on our way, my son saw that they were close to closing time at 7 PM. This was a little bit after 6PM. I called and the gentleman I spoke to said that we could order takeout. We really wanted to have a sit down meal so we scrapped that and decided to go to another popular local restaurant down by the river. When we got there, they were completely full and it was an hour wait time. At that point my son said that we can just do takeout and go home and eat. So, I called back Coastal Crab Company and I spoke to young woman who was so friendly. I thought we only had 20 minutes to closing , so she said how far are you? I said we are 20 minutes away and she said to come on. When we got there, we weren’t quite sure of what we wanted to eat. Anyway, we parked and went in. We met this lovely young woman. Her name was Nya? I believe. She was awesome. She took our order and we decided to wait outside in the car. Her customer service was impeccable. She explained what was on the menu and she told us, and practically insured that we would love the food. Let me tell you it is some of the best seafood that I’ve had in a long time. It was fresh and well seasoned, and you can tell that they put love into each and everything that they cooked. I had the seafood platter, with grouper and shrimp with the seafood rice in a creole sauce. It was to die for. We also had the seafood stew and the seafood gumbo. Both were excellent. They have my vote! I believe that their food is not only excellent, but the customer service is impeccable. I would go back again and again, thank you for making my early Mother’s Day with my son! I will see you for my birthday and I will tell all of my family and friends. Thank you Coastal Crab Company!"

The wait was long But that is to be expected with seafood plus they were busy with dine in and carryout orders. Now for the food...just delicious and flavorful. Scallops tender...just all great!

Very good quality crabs and a pretty good price. Great customer service while there. I didn't like how difficult it was to contact someone. The number and website didn't work. They have preorders but wouldn't save any crabs for me.Food: 5/5

I absolutely loved the food during my first visit. Everything was fresh, and the staff was both kind and professional, going above and beyond to ensure excellent service. Coastal Crabs Company is a wonderful discovery! The dining area is small but charming and spotless, and the staff is lovely. I enjoyed an excellent dish of rice topped with crabs, shrimp, and scallops — it was a generous portion at a great price. If I lived nearby, I would definitely make this place a regular visit. Highly recommended!

This restaurant is fantastic! The staff is incredibly friendly, and the food is simply delicious! They know exactly how to treat their customers well. This is our go-to spot for seafood in Melbourne (excluding sushi, of course!). The prices are very reasonable as well. You really can't go wrong by giving this place a try. Overall, it's a great experience! The crab legs are our absolute favorite!!!!!!
