"I was in the area and wanted to try some local restaurants. While walking around, I asked a few people if this place was worth a visit, and they all said yes. The charbroiled chicken was absolutely delicious, with a distinct char flavor that stands out compared to the usual rotisserie taste found elsewhere. I combined the pickled onions and carrots with the potato salad, and when I added the green hot sauce, it was spectacular. This is definitely a fantastic local choice! Meal type: Dinner."

"Do not go to Bombay Velvet. First the good … The space is nice though the chairs are way too low to comfortably eat. The wait staff seems attentive. However, the food is overpriced, tiny, and mediocre to poor in flavor. I spent $250 for 4 people with no dessert or alcohol and we all left hungry! One $15 appetizer consisted of the equivalent of 8 crackers standing in a bed of dry rice with 3 Tablespoons of chutney. It made me sad just looking at it. My fish was over $30 for about 3 ounces of a bland filet with about half a cup of rice. Ridiculous. Then, they tag 20% service charge automatically. We were a table of 4! It was so dark that I didn’t notice it and clearly overtipped and the server did not clarify if I wanted to double tip. No one responded when I contacted the restaurant to rectify it. My recommendation… go to Bollywood Bistro vice this pretentious, unscrupulous establishment. Unless , of course, you enjoy eating crappy, micro portions by a wait staff who could care less about their customers as long as they are getting paid."

"Today I was disappointed, the waitress was new and we sat for a while till she came to take our orders, then she dropped our appetizers and forgot to provide utensils, so we sat for a while until we asked another waiter to give us utensiles. I usually have great experience with food but today the STROZZAPRET was too dry so I asked the waitress for extra sauce, she didn’t like that I did then took my plate and returned ten minutes l8r with watery sauce, so without me touching it I told her I didn’t feel the creamy texture so I retuned it and asked for chicken parmesan replacing the chicken with eggplant, again very little red sauce and when I asked for extra sauce I was charged for it! I should have the right sauce amount however I was short on sauce and was charged for asking for extra sauce! I hope this one off situation because I come often to north Italia in both the Reston and the Tyson’s locations and this was the first time I had a bad experience! ."
