"We went in Sunday evening and they were busy. Our waitress was a doll though and we could see that she was doing her best. We got drinks and biscuits right away and she got back to take our order in a timely manner. It took a while to get it from the kitchen, but that was understandable. My husband got breakfast and enjoyed it. I got chicken fried steak, greens and a baked potato, this is where Cracker Barrel dropped the ball. The greens were good, the baked potato was okay, but oh my, you have to do something about your chicken fried steak and gravy. I honestly will eat just about anything that's breaded with gravy, but that cfs was a push y'all. French Toast was small like cheap bread, not thick slices as pictured and over cooked. Crispy Rockin Shrimp is bread! The shrimp are extremely tiny. Big disappointment.

I ordered Momma's French Toast Breakfast. Unfortunately, the eggs were overcooked, and the sausage was undercooked. The French toast was decent. My iced French toast latte had melted by the time it arrived, but it still tasted great.

Our order was placed at 10:20 AM and picked up by the dasher at 10:41 AM. It was delivered at 11:34 AM. First time back since CoVID. Won’t be back. Breakfast menu has been entirely reworked. They no longer serve omelettes! And did not even see hash browns in the menu now serving some sort of casserole. I wonder if the chicken fried steak now comes with brown gravy. But I won’t be back to find out. Talk about ruining a good thing. Textbook example .

We had both lunches of chicken and dumplings, I had believed soup for my side and man had fried okra. The soup was good, but very bland, I added tabasco, salt and pepper. His okra was okay, it could have been a bit more crisp. We also had bisquits and cornbread on the side, they were both perfect and I was very impressed that they served real butter, not fake spread like most places in Corpus Christi. The service was very good and it was pretty fast.
