"I absolutely adore this restaurant. The food is fantastic, and the chicken is cooked to perfection—it's wonderfully tender, unlike the chewy poultry I've had at other places. My boyfriend and I have been in the area for around nine months and we've sampled various Chinese restaurants, but we've decided to keep coming back to this one. The staff is truly fantastic as well!"

My husband and I have dined at this restaurant three times, and each visit has been fantastic. The food is always served hot and tastes amazing. The prices are quite reasonable, and the staff is both friendly and efficient. We’ve always placed our takeout orders in person, and the wait time has never been more than 10-15 minutes. I highly recommend this place!

"This place is a small joint, but I think it's just perfect! Come spring, summer, and fall I can see this place being super busy. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Menu isn't too big, but this is a must stop! I had the pargo con crema de coco, which is Dominican style snapper fillet in coconut cream. And all I have to say is wow! I was able to make two meals out of this. The flavor was there and just popped. You can def taste the coconut. The fish was not dry. I had a bite of the El Cubano as well and it was good as well. I highly recommend coming here. The staff is so nice. The food came out at a reasonable time!"

"The family who owns it is nice. There's outdoor seating. There's a chess night on Wednesday 6-9 Vegetarian options: I'm vegetarian and I order the delicious naan and rice. I also drink their spicy tea cold or hot. It's refillable. Wheelchair accessibility: One floor and two doors Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner"

"I want to start off saying, I’m not slamming the bar/restaurant… but be aware of how much you’re charged. We had dinner reservations at 5pm and arrived early. Decided to have a drink in the bar. Bought two cocktails looked at the prices as signing the credit card receipt. Noticed one was $15, okay thought a little high but they know the prices. Right? The rest of party arrived and we were seated. Our server was wonderful and attentive. At the end of our meal she brought over individual bills which was great we asked for when originally seated. My friend goes to the restroom and leaves me $100 to pay for her bill. As I put the money inside the bill holder, I notice the same cocktail I bought at the bar is now $10… not $15. I ask the server if it had been happy hour for that price. She replied, we don’t have happy hour. I comment on how the same drink in the bar was $5 more. She tells me she’ll check into it. A little while later… maybe a manager, not sure because he doesn’t introduce himself comes to the table. Had zero explanation and doesn’t even try to explain the $5 difference. Just tells me he’ll take the $5 off my bill. Truthfully it’s not the money, but the principle. I tell him it’s very deceitful and how many people are they doing this to and they never notice. Advice look at your bill!!!!"

"We made reservations for brunch and were seated at a nice booth. Our waitress was frankly borderline rude and cranky. The food was sub par. For 3 omelets and an egg, bacon and hashbrown breakfast, along with 4 coffees, our bill was $85. That’s insanely high for breakfast, but especially a breakfast that was not good quality or good tasting. After my husband experienced a very unimpressive social engagement here for work a few months back, we not be back."

"Jan 2022: I've been going here since 2008 but tonight might be my last for a very long time. The value quotient just isn't there, a family of four, a bottle of wine, 3 entrees, several appetizers, and one dessert and we're over $400 with tip. My entrée the cassoulet was very dry and barely edible. The gnocchi was also just ok. Everything else was outstanding, the pommes frites, shrimp cocktail, onion soups, tiny tuna tartar tacos, and the mozza ball soup. The service was A and she tried to make up for the experience. Also Meritage used to have a more extensive wine list but now every other page features a map and no listing of wines. Even worse, found out tonight they don't do a corkage fee if you want to bring your own bottle. Their wines are waaaaay marked up too. They had a Ridge blend I know well (Lytton Springs) that is under $50 retail and they price it at $120.For me I think I'll spend my dollars at the Lexington, Moscow on the Hill, or WA Frost going forward. I feel bad because I have always loved Meritage."
