"Our first time on the island and we came here for our first meal, dinner. First I have a service dog and they seen him, sat us down at a booth, which was fine. Our waiter took our orders and we decided to eat outside since it was cooler, he helped us moveour drinks and showed us the way. Ate , paid , no problem. This was Friday evening. So husband was here to repair a dump truckaxle for Rich Gillespie and while he did that on Saturday me and grandson explored. Sunday we rented a side by side to explorethe island. Well, we ate breakfast and went off. Come lunch time about 2pm, we decided to go back to shamrock for a good lunch.The waitress came to us and said no dogs, I replied he is a service dog and we were welcomed to eat here the other day, youcan?t refuse him. Then she huffed and replied, well then on the patio. I said nope, we?ll leave. If your going to treat usdifferently and refuse us to dine inside, we?ll leave. We did. I will be calling the Michigan dept of civil rights cause myright to normal service was denied."

"I arrived on a Sunday afternoon with my two kids and there was no crowd or line. Two females tending shop seemed annoyed to serve us. They were sighing audibly and rolling their eyes at my boys. They did not greet us and when I concluded the business and generously left a not-deserved 20% tip they did not say thank you or goodbye. One had airpods in and either couldn't hear anything we said or ignored us when we were speaking to her. I have not encountered such rude staff since I lived in New York. Definitely not spending money at this establishment again. I would rather make my own burgers and ice cream cones for a fraction of the price and skip the passive aggression. Please get rid of these horrid women."

"Was super excited to try this place since it came highly recommended, but starting off with a bad experience from the host kinda ruined it for us. We came in the door by the parking lot which we figured was the front since that's where the open sign was. There where no signs directing us in any direction so we stood by the bar for like 5 minutes waiting to be greeted which that never happened ALOT of staff saw us but we just got weird looks so we figured it must be seat yourself. We sat ourself on the patio, waited about 10 minutes, staff did pass us multiple times then a host came over to let us know it wasn't seat yourself and they only take resos, which is no big deal we told her we would move tables. But she just kept telling us it's fine and she would move the reso somewhere else. She was very passive aggressive which just kinda made us feel dumb. I have worked in the restaurant industry since I was 19 still currently serving I'm usually pretty chill about stuff but this made us almost get up and leave. Which we should have, soup was very bland chicken in it was over cooked. I got the shrimp stuff fish which had maybe three small shrimp on top and it was smothered in a sauce that was not very good the breading on the fish was mushy. The bake potato was over cooked. My partner got the bacon wrapped pork medallion. Was suppose to come with a blue cheese sauce but just had blue cheese crumbles on top smoothed in syrup. We had canceled our reso at the lodge to come here and wished we hadn't done that. The server was good. They weren't really that busy so to be rude to walk-ins makes no sense to me. The table next to us also had the same issue with the seating and the host had the same attitude with them. Maybe add some signs, would definitely not recommend this place. The online menu also I sent the menu they currently have, and says nothing about being reservation only."

"This is the perfect place for dining during sunset. We enjoyed our meal outdoors, and it wasn't crowded since we visited mid-week in August. The service was excellent. We both started with the mushroom bisque soup, which was outstanding. My wife ordered the whitefish accompanied by risotto and asparagus; the fish was delicious and not over-seasoned, while the risotto was decent and the asparagus was fantastic. I opted for a ribeye steak, asparagus, and dauphinoise potatoes. The potatoes were beautifully prepared, almost like a pie, and were wonderful. The steak was tender with a nice crust from the grill. For dessert, we enjoyed a pound cake and I had a delightful rum and ice cream parfait. Both desserts were very good. The price is reasonable for a quality steakhouse."
