"I rarely give reviews less than 5 or 4 stars (usually 5), but I was expecting more from D’Angelo’s because this was my favorite place to get sandwiches when I worked in Princeton a few years ago. Unfortunately I recently ordered the Anarella Special sandwich (fried eggplant, Mozzarella, balsamic, sun dried tomatoes) and the slice of mozzarella was so thin, I barely tasted it. I remember the slices being much thicker years ago. The hero roll was also hard and not as good quality as I remember. Maybe it was an off day, but if I could make a suggestion it would be about the slice of fresh mozzarella being thicker and fresher for your sandwiches."

Princeton Tiger Sandwich is the best! Fresh Mozzarella, Vodka Sauce, Breaded Chicken, and an amazing roll. Everything is super fresh. Visualizza piatti

We just love them here. The food is delicious and the staff are amazing and friendly. True authentic Italian culture and food. I am so grateful they are in town. It helps me feel at home, being a Italian American myself.

Their sandwiches are outstanding! I haven't tried their pizza, deserts, or shopped for groceries yet, but I had the D'Angelo Signature and it hit every box. It was made fresh and prepared quickly. They offer so many groceries and have a great ambiance. If you need any Italian food for lunch, this is the place to be.

We shop at a thrift store a few doors down, and until this week, we had always visited when the market was closed. This week, we were excited to finally go inside. We tried the Grandma pie and cannoli, and they were delicious! We can't wait to return and sample some of the items in the prepared food case. However, if the four women at the registers had smiled or greeted us, we would have given it a perfect score of 5. Visualizza piatti

Service was good, large selection of salads and Italian food. Prices are reasonable. The only reason I'm not give them 5 starts is because of my sandwich... I ask for sausage parmigiana Hero and the sausage taste good, but the bread was testing awful, old bread... also it was very messy, my wife ask for tortellini pesto salad and that one taste great! Seems the bread thy are using is for days before... I will give them another try and will see if they take in consideration this review!

Staff is extremely rude and quite frankly bizarre. Tried to order a large pizza pie and was told I can 't do that by counter person. When I asked why her even more rude counterpart begins to excoriate me because they are working on an order of 20 pies for someone and how dare I expect them to drop what they are doing to make me a pie (as if I am supposed to know this somehow). It gets better! As I begin to walk out she says you can wait if you want but it will be thirty minutes, but then advises they actually can 't because they ran out of pizza dough. I will never ever shop at this place again as long as I live. Awful customer service.

"When you walk in the vibe is relaxed, warm, and inviting, as if you were having dinner in a friend 's kitchen. There aren 't an overwhelming amount of choices but there is something for everyone. While you wait for your meal, enjoy the delicious flatbread. I am on a diet but everyone else loved it. What is delivered to your table is absolutely delicious. My daughter, who has eaten there before, raved about their house dressing. How excited can one get over salad dressing? It was so good. She ordered the Parpadelle Meat Sauce. She loved it. It was a lot so she took half of it home. Her boyfriend had the Apricot Walnut Salad. It looked delicious and he really enjoyed it. As I mentioned, I am on a diet so I was happy to see the variety of salads. I ordered the Pasta Fazool, yum, and the Beet Goat Cheese Salad; I added Shrimp. It was delicious, especially the shrimp, well seasoned, and they weren 't cheap on the beets or goat cheese which made me happy. It was topped with that salad dressing and, my daughter was right, it was delicious. My husband, whom we affectionately refer to as Bob the Food Snob , had the Frutta del Mar. He always sends his food back but loved this dish. The pasta is fresh, the sauce perfectly seasoned. We ended the evening with zeppole shared for the table. It comes with Nutella. My daughter 's boyfriend joked that zeppole filled with cannoli cream would be outrageously delicious. I ordered that and the Nutella. I expected the cannoli cream to be typical. It was really light. Yes, I had a taste because they were all talking about it and dessert is my thing. Brad was right, zeppole and cannoli cream is delicious. Put that on the menu! We are going back!"

"Update: 4/10/2022 Came here recently with my wife on our way back from Philly. Hadn’t been here since the pandemic and was pleasantly surprised to see that this place was still here. Ordered the same thing I always do and quality is still good. I’m so glad this little gem of a place is still in business. Prices have gone up a little but so has everything and most restaurants since the pandemic. A hidden gem. Ok, so it’s not one of those fancy Tokyo or New York quality sushi but then again, you’re not paying $500 for dinner (per person) either. I always eat the same thing here — the battered squid dinner plate or lunch, if you’re having it at lunch, with a squid roll and it comes with salad, too. My wife orders the Sushi Boy A or B. It’s a combo plate of such I. And there are lots of other great choices. So far, everyone I’ve taken there, really like the sushi. By the way, my wife is Japanese and she loves sushi (she knows what’s authentic and what’s not). I’ve been to so many of those all-you-can-eat sushi buffet joints where you pay anywhere from $12-20 per person but always end up disappointed. No one would expect to find this place...It’s in a hidden food court surrounded by stores like Gymboree and offices, etc near the Westin hotel in the Princeton Forrestal Village square. While it may be off the beaten path, this place will not disappoint. I’ve been going there for at least 7 years."
