"I'm not quite sure how I feel about this place. Dave Portnoy rated it 8.2, but I would give it more of a high 6 or low 7. The pizza dough in the thick crust was a bit undercooked, and there was way too much cheese with not enough sauce. The edges were burned, making it difficult to eat the slices towards the end. It was also quite greasy, to the point where we had to use a knife and fork because it was impossible to pick it up. Once it cooled down a bit, it improved, but I still found it somewhat disappointing. This is supposedly the best pizza in Albany, but I didn't experience it that way. Plus, sitting outside was a challenge—there were so many bugs and flies buzzing around our food, and the Parmesan on the table had a strange taste."

The food at this restaurant is amazing. When they added vegan options to their menu, the staff was clearly enthusiastic about it. The vegan pizza with dairy-free cheese is hands down the best I have ever had.

Recommended by a friend weeks ago, then happened to be in town the day after the barstool visit and review, so they were slammed. Despite this and the hot and humid weather, the staff was super friendly. We had the cheese and sausage, peppers, and onion. Very tasty. My dad, who doesn?t like most pizza, even his own, said it was the best he has had in years. Also got a cannoli and the hangover cake to try. I got a tip to call Monday morning when they open and was able to put in an order for dinner easy peasy.
