"My husband and I have visited La Cremaillere multiple times. Lately, we have noticed a noticeable discrepancy between our experiences on a regular evening versus on special occasions like New Year's Eve or Valentine's Day. In summary, the food and service are not as exceptional on those special days. However, on a typical night, the restaurant is absolutely fantastic. While it is still above average on special occasions compared to many other restaurants, it does not quite reach the same level as it does on a regular evening, which is disappointing."

"We went to Moderne Barn for a birthday celebration. We were greeted by a host who directed us to a table near a family with 2 overwrought children. Although I am sympathetic to the plight of parents with young children, I did not want to subject my party to the noise. We requested a new table and were brought to a lovely, quiet area. Our waiter was friendly and well-informed. He helped us navigate the menu with appropriate recommendations. We thoroughly enjoyed the Greek Salad, Shrimp Riccia A La Vodka, Pan Seared Halibut, and Garlic Honey Pork Chop. We split 2 desserts among our group, the Cast Iron Chocolate Brownie, served with chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream, and the Moderne Barn Sunday, served in a phyllo basket with creme fraiche ice cream, blueberry compote, and an interesting sauce. Both were hits! Moderne Barn continues to offer a delightful dining experience and I look forward to my next visit."

"Was visiting a friend who recommended this place. It’s a large space, beautiful, yet it feels warm and cozy. We started with the fried calamari which was cooked to perfection and the Mediterranean octopus which can be tricky to get it right, which they did! It was tender and delicious. I had the burger which was juicy and well seasoned and asked for sweet potato fries! My friend had the rigatoni bolognese which tasted like homemade! We finished with mrs Livanos homemade baklava which was divine! Lovely service, efficient and discreet! Wonderful experience! Will be back"

"The service was exceptional—prompt yet not intrusive. The salmon was incredibly fresh, and the portion size was generous. The arugula and prosciutto pizza could have benefited from the addition of fontina cheese instead of just an abundance of cherry tomatoes that tended to roll off the slices, along with some unexpected cucumber slices. We appreciate the creativity in the menu, but it seems that the chef sometimes prioritizes variety over selecting ingredients that complement each other harmoniously in a dish. Lastly, we were grateful for the quiet table we were given."

"Had a Sunday buffet here with a part of 9. Overall it was nice. We weren't rushed. It wasn't too busy so we could hear each other and chat and enjoy our time. The staff was lovely. They were sweet to my daughter. She's little, only 2, and they didn't charge for her even though they have her juice and ice cream. That was really nice too. The food was decent. There was a nice selection of breakfast and lunch food. I thought the beef was delicious. It was nice and rare how I like it. Nice large fruit bowl to take from. My daughter was in heaven. They had an omelette station. I got broccoli and mushrooms and cheese and it was pretty good. When I got to the French toast/waffles container there was a large amount but the majority or waffle quarters looked burnt. Oh well. The French toast was quite good. Then there was bacon and sausage. The sausage in my opinion was awful. And the bacon was all fat and Limp. I prefer my bacon crispy. I believe there was crispy bacon earlier because there were little bits in the bottom of the chaffing dish but it wasn't refilled with crispy. Then there were mixed veggies and potatoes. And two different chickens. And then I remember crab cakes and fish. Both were good in my opinion. There was also a dessert table and you could get ice cream. They had multiple flavors not just the typical chocolate vanilla option. I thought the room we were in was a little cold. I wasn't warm until more people came in and filled up the space. And the restaurant looks old. There is stuff decorating all over the place that's chipped or broken. It give everything an old feel. Still I'd come back. It's nice overall."
