Taquitos and rice were very dry. The rice was crunchy and both had no flavor to them. The only savior was the fish taco. Great prices for the 1lb burritos. I would recommend to pass on the taquitos though.

Visiting from out of town originally wanted to go to The Taco Stand, and thankfully the line was too long so we wandered down the street and found this lovely gem. Great service, amazing food and portion sizes were bigger than expected we all left very happy and full. Can’t wait to come back again on our next visit!

always delicious plates at don carlos, one of my favorite spots in san diego. as a vegetarian, i really appreciate their variety of options and meat alternatives. highly recommend the scripps burrito, nachos with mushrooms and enjoying a fresh plate of mexican food on their patio. always friendly service too : thanks, don carlos! Everything you want in a taqueria. Food was delicious and reasonably priced we ordered rolled tacos and a carne asada burrito. Even my picky toddler ate a whole rolled taco herself! Staff were really nice. We ate in their outdoor seating and it was very relaxed, they even Clorox wiped it for us before we sat down. Would absolutely recommend and return without hesitation.

Awesome value Mexican food spot! Found Don Carlos on yelp...and didn't realize it is down the street from Taco Stand. I felt super hungry, so I ordered a bit for myself (and gave my brother leftovers). -carne asada burrito $11.50 -carne asada quesadilla $12 $3 surcharge for deluxe (sour crema and guac) Burrito had only steak, guac, and pico. A pound of food. It was really good. I would probably add cheese next time around. Quesadilla was good as well, but obviously, way too much food to eat both. There's minimal seating inside and outside. Good place for take out. Food definitely takes some time to come out. Street parking only.

This place really got the burrito right! I got the California burrito because of the reviews and it is really spectacular. The two salsas were great. Both are hot. The burrito is huge and a good mix of texture and flavor, not dry, and I think the potatoportion of the filling is French fries which works well. It's much better than that sounds. I live in El Paso, Texas and thiscompares well to the best local food there. The place is very small, with two tables and mostly takeout. It is decorated with asense of humor. I really don't understand any criticism in the reviews. I just love it although I was planning to get seafoodtonight. I will go out of my way to have this again. Visualizza piatti
