"Wow! I don't think I've ever had a better sandwich. I can't believe we hadn't discovered this place until now. We ordered the Louisiana Roast Pork and the Brisket Grilled Cheese Shop Sandwiches, along with a side of Cajun Fries and the Chopped Pork Panini. This is the kind of meal that makes you want to fast for days beforehand because it's so buttery, messy, and indulgent; every single bite is worth it. I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a sandwich this much—I couldn't even finish it and ended up taking some home for later. The panini was loaded with chopped pork shoulder and belly, enhanced with garlic mayo, bacon, and cheese. It was absolutely sinful! My daughter had the Brisket Grilled Cheese and declared that if she were to go out, she would want it to be like that; she said it was even better than bacon."

"'FRESHER IS ALWAYS BETTER! Prince Umberto Pizzeria Restaurant 721 Franklin Ave, Franklin Square, NY 11010 Today 10/26/2023, I took my Honey for lunch for the first time to Prince Umberto 's in Franklin Square, NY. We both love good home made Italian food. I read some nice reviews, checked out their menu online and saw items we both like to eat, so to not far away Franklin Square we went! It was about 2;30 pm when we got there, the pizzeria side was busy but the dinning area side was wasn 't busy at all, and that 's exactly where we wanted to go. Our waiter and server Johnathan greeted us and sat us at a nice comfortable table. I ordered something for my Honey and I to drink, nothing with alcohol, while we looked over the menu. I told Johnathan we were going to first try a few appetizers, and after that, if we were still hungry we would order something else. I asked Johnathan, please, DO NOT bring us all the food at once, as so many other restaurants seem to want to do! All that food at once just overwhelms you, plus sitting there, the food just gets cold before you get to eat it. Johnathan said, not a problem, tell me what to bring you, and I will bring it when you tell me, YES! We started off first with Littleneck Clams on the half shell, then we had whole backed clams that were just made, nice and piping hot, and so, so, delicious. Next we enjoyed a nice size pot of mussels cooked with white wine and garlic, Johnathan brought us their just baked HOT pizza dough bread with butter on the side, it was excellent especially when we were dunking the bread into the mussel juice! After that my Honey and I had to try their Trippa Napoletana, we both love tripe! This tripe with the sauce made at Prince Umbertos was so good, my Honey had to take some home! It had no potatoes, no peas, just tender cooked tripe in a delicious mild sauce, which I was also enjoying on the hot pizza dough bread too. Just delicious. Wow! While were eating, the owner, and the chef came over to us a couple of times to ask if everything was okay and to our liking, and if we needed anything else, which was very nice of them to do. We now were both pretty full, but I had to check out their dessert menu first, before we left. I spotted their Italian ice cream Tartufo, and my Honey spotted the Tiramisu. We suddenly found a little space to tackle dessert, OMG! They both were so yummy! Now as far as prices go in this day and age of high prices, this restaurant has very, very, fair prices for quality fresh food! And I might add, this is one of the very few restaurants that is not charging any extra fee for using your credit card, I hope they can continue doing that, we shall see? We shall return for sure. Their food was so good, and freshly cooked to order, just as if we were home, it was a delight to go to Prince Umberto 's in Franklin Square today! Johnathan did an excellent job taking good care of us. And if I am going write an honest review, which I am, I have one wish, we both love clams on the half shell, ice cold. The clams on the half shell we had today were really fresh, but they were room temperature and not cold at all? I wish they can serve them ice cold, the next time we come. All in all, Prince Umberto 's still gets 5 stars! One tip for all, go for lunch or early dinner, You will have plenty of space in their dining room!"

"Let's begin with what was good..... the steak, that's where it begins and ends. The atmosphere is old and worn with hideous decorations. The wine was sub par, the Cajun calamari was overcooked and came out so fast it must've been prepared way beforeand then threw in the fryer to warm it. We sent it back. The cream of spinach was like wall paper paste. And worst of all therack of lamb (suppose to be med rare) was med well and had absolutely no flavor. Our waiter was nice enough, but we asked for ataste of wi e and got a full glass. He also seemed to be in a rush all the time, yet the restaurant was almost empty. Thegentlemen from the kitchen who served the food looked miserable. I truly don't understand how they are still in business andgetting good reviews at these prices! Unfortunately, we also sat next to a table of a family with three kids and grandparentswho thought it was a playground."

"awesome! I have organized a party at the weekend in one of the party rooms. from the time I left the payment until the time of the party, the personal was wonderful. always available and accommodating. I was allowed to come early in the day of the event to decorate and the staff even helped. the food, the drinks and the waiters were amazing. we couldn't fit all balloons in the car, so they kept the balloons graciously and we picked them up the next day. I love this place. I hope that I will host other events and will definitely be regularly in the restaurant."

"We ordered and paid online, when the delivery guy came my 14 years old pay him again and we take him back the money , this guy very upset called the restaurant certifying the payment was done, instead to say sorry, my bad or something, he said: well where is my tip? Here is your tip! Is funny because after that situation, the sushi place blocked THE ENTIRE BUILDING (76 APARTMENTS) to order online....guys, instead to be mad because you couldn't charge twice, learn to be a little more honest...."
