Was driving from Texas to Maryland and found this restaurant for lunch. Was was great. The fried oysters were delicious. The waiter was friendly and very attentive. Will definitely go back next time we in that part of the country. Visualizza piatti

If you like spicy Chicken Sausage Gumbo then good for you. When told not spicy and turns out spicy. Then that's $11.00 wasted. I can't handle eating spicy food. I tried to eat but 4 bites and my mouth was burning. Husband always asked to make sure that any food I get is not spicy.

The shrimp etouffee/fried shrimp dish I ordered was slightly warm and overly salty. But my friends enjoyed their tacos, blackened chicken salad and veggies. Our drinks were tasty and a decent price. I enjoyed the atmosphere and our great service on a very busy Friday night. I strongly recommend making a reservation a day ahead!

We always eat in the dining room, but this week the best pleasant experience was due to the attention and service from Lou-Ann, a really nice young woman with with a wonderful French accent. She was very good at her job and we were so glad we went to Don’s. Over the last 40 years or so, this was our best experience, especially talking about families with this special young woman!! Staying in Lafayette for a conference and after one dinner at Don's Seafood, I was hooked. Having lived in FL, I grew up on seafood and southern food. Since moving away though, it has been so hard to find really good, reasonable authentic seafood (thus the 3 nights in a row)! Every entree was perfectly cooked and seasoned, great portions too. Server was exceptional, and very personable. And don't forget dessert, the white chocolate bread pudding was exceptional!

My husband and I called ahead for a takeout order on Friday, December 23rd while passing through the area. I ordered the 1/2 shrimp etouffee and 1/2 fried shrimp and my husband ordered the crawfish quesadilla. The etouffee was literally the best I've ever had and the fried shrimp were prepared perfectly.
