Ordered falafel for lunch and when I came back to pick it up they told me they had none, dunno how you can call yourself a Mediterranean restaurant without any falafel, to me it's like running a pizzeria and not having any pizza!

Wow! The food is amazing, the restaurant is spotless, and the customer service is friendly. But let's talk about the food! I ordered the Mediterranean plate, and instead of a beet salad and baba ganoush, I received extra portions of the other items. The food is always fresh and flavorful. I recently went to a fast food drive-thru, and it cost me $11 for something that wasn't good for my health. Here, I spent $16, but it's much more nutritious. Just something to keep in mind! Also, they've been using compostable containers for at least the last 10 years.

Overall, this place gets 3 and maybe 1/2 stars from me. The place is nothing appealing and quite tacky. They have a decent menu with items clearly identified as vegan, etc. The falafel wrap, gets 5 stars, yes it's something good and I crave from time to time. My advice, get the falafel wrap to go and enjoy elsewhere. Side note, I've only been to this location and know there's another one in Santa Rosa which to my understanding are the same but not...I hear better things about the other location and if their falafel wrap is the same and as good, I'd be willing to check it out... I recently had the Caesar chicken salad, which is one of my usual favorites. I often pair it with a berry smoothie. Last night, I tried a lamb special that came with hummus and tabbouleh, and it was absolutely delicious. I really hope they offer it again. Heidi, the server, is very attentive and recognizes me when I come in. The rest of the staff is also attentive without being intrusive. I typically dine during off-peak hours, so it's usually quite peaceful. One of the highlights is the variety of menu options, which cater to my friends' dietary needs, whether they're vegetarian or vegan. Enjoy your meal! Best, John

This was my first visit to East West Cafe, and unfortunately, it didn't live up to the great experience I had at the Santa Rosa location. I ordered the Mediterranean platter, but the hummus was stale and had a runny texture. I also noticed that the IPA was served in a bottle instead of on tap. It's surprising to think that the two restaurants only share the name "East West" and not much else. Sofie ordered a wrap and, without me saying anything, remarked, "This isn’t as good as the Santa Rosa place." Our friend had the pancakes, which looked appealing with two eggs on top. Walked in and placed order in person. Completely aware there would be a wait. Cashier (young teenage girl) spent 10-15 minutes during my wait outside talking to a teenage guy and girl that walked in. Went in to get my order and she didn 't offer napkins or utensils had go back ask for them. Order was missing cookie that I paid for. Side salad had nuts even though I was very specific about NO NUTS due allergy. Salad had pine nuts (tons). Gluten free bread tuna melt was super tiny ate it in two bites-smallest sandwich for $14.50!!! I basically paid $14.50 for a bite of food. This place is excellent The food was amazing. Megan was our waitress and she was fabulous!! Even though it has a casual appearance the food is a big success and with so many great choices it was hard to choose. I'm a chef myself and was impressed with how fresh the ingredients are and that everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. It was obvious the ingredients are locally sourced and when I asked about the tempeh, sure enough, locally handcrafted. Even the side salad was extra nice. Dropped in for a late lunch while in town. The cafe has a nice decor with neatly arranged tables and a large counter display. We were promptly greeted as we entered and seated. While we browsed the menu we were offered a small dish of grape leaves stuffed with rice. Very tangy and good. The menu has plenty of items and a somewhat Mediterranean flair. Checking out downtown Sebastopol. We 're not finding any window menus that grab us, so tired and kinda hot we settled on East West Cafe, with no expectation. It 's very homey, and our waitress is casual, charming and efficient. The menu is huge, and all over the map. T had a Chicken Oriental salad. He liked it. I tasted the chicken, which had good flavor and was still juicy, but thought the combination of ingredients was a little head spinning, and not necessarily Oriental (whatever that is), with avocado, and almonds and cranberries.
