"VK Viet Kitchen is one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in Tacoma, Washington. The restaurant is conveniently on 38th Street (East of I-5), with plenty of parking on the street and designated parking around the corners. The owners (couple), Vincent and Kenny, are fantastic and friendly. The food is delicious! If you're from Portland to Seattle or vice versa, VK VIET KITCHEN is the place. Try their Bon Ne, Pork Blood organ Congee, BBQ duck noodles, or grilled squid"

"Wow were we pleasantly surprised! Sapporo has been in our neighborhood for four years and this was our first time in. We were looking for a happy hour on a Sunday and they've got Sunday happy hour ALL DAY. So the grandmas (who love happy hour) got margaritas and I had some sake. That margaritas alone would have gotten this place a thumbs up... and that's even before we had the sushi. I had NO idea all this time I could have basically taken a walk out my front door and found such fantastic sushi. The rainbow roll was incredible so so fresh and the Mongolian chicken was also delicious. The only downside of the whole experience was that it was noisy but if you're in a festive mood, it's not a problem..we will definitely go back."

"Great restaurant with good food and service. Staff was very accommodating though we did not have a reservation on a Friday night. The ribeye steak was cooked to perfection. Loved the lamb shanks this is a must have. Halibut was also very tasty. One feedback on the roasted calamari is the spices were a bit overpowering, which did not do justice to the amazing sauce with garlic and parsley. The dessert menu is excellent and well thought in conjunction with the rest of the menu. The bourbon chocolate cake is with rich dark chocolate I absolutely loved the sticky texture and how the whipped cream complemented it. I suggest you get the cream on the side to adjust the balance to your liking. One other thing I recomend is the house limoncello with the bourbon chocolate cake as it helps to ease the intense (but very pleasant) chocolate flavor with every two to three spoons. The culinary experience was very satisfactory. In terms of price, be prepared to pay about $80 per person including the tip. I think this price is worth it especially on special occasions. By the way, I really appreciated the disclosure at the bottom of the menu with regular font size (rather than the small print most restaurants do) regarding the 20% tip policy. Furthermore, the communication that 70% of the tip going directly to our server while the remaining 30% going to their welfare expenses was transparecy at its best. I think other restaurants should take Primo as a role model in terms of how tipping policy works and should be communicated to the patrons. Well done Primo! "The restaurant felt a bit too pretentious for what it offered. While everything tasted good, I'm not sure it was worth the $32 price tag. The elk was over-sauced, which was disappointing because it's such a fantastic meat. The gnocchi had a gooey texture, and the wine selection was limited, with most bottles priced at $50 or more. The cheesecake tasted stale as well. I wasn't a fan of the $10 service fee for making a reservation; I’m sure there are other options, like OpenTable. I did enjoy watching the food being prepared, and the chef was great. The service was friendly, but a bit impatient. Sometimes, you just want to relax and savor your meal without feeling rushed. Unfortunately, the appetizers filled us up and drained our wallets."

"I enjoy this place quite a bit for both dine in and take out. It's usually fairly quick and they are pretty good at getting orders correct (like no mushrooms or onions for anything my kid orders). Doesn't usually have a wait and the staff is usually friendly. My only complaint is that the prices are high. For my mom/son and I we each ordered an entree, split 1 appetizer and ordered drinks. The bill was over $100. The appetizer was small but cost as much as a main entree and we were charged for rice when I thought rice was included with the price of the entree. Every other place doesn't charge for rice when you get an entree so that just adds on more money. This means we only go there about 2 times a year. That's a pitty! The food is great and we would like to have it more often."
