"What a disappointing experience! I can't tell if the ribs were baked and then barbecued or the other way around, or if they were even boiled first! It's astonishing that they dare to call those poorly cut pieces "tips." They should be embarrassed. Essentially, you're paying for a plate of mush. I ordered a large portion of tips and could hardly recognize more than two actual tips—the rest looked like scraps thrown in a pan, topped with fries. Any rib joint that doesn't allow you to see your food being prepared raises concerns. This is definitely not the right way to cut tips. I really want to like this place, but their lack of honesty is disappointing. There aren’t many barbecue spots left on the Southside, and their indifference to customers shows they know it. Worst ribs I've ever had."

They serve a generous portion of fries, and their sauce is fantastic. For takeout lunch, the price per person is very reasonable at $1–10. I have no intention of returning to this business. How can you run a restaurant without consistent hours? The posted opening times on the building and website don't match reality at all. I’ve called and made the drive only to find the place closed too many times. My friends and I are finished with it; this has become far too frequent an occurrence.

Overall a great restaurant. I ordered the 1/2 smoked chicken the portions for the price is perfect. The smoked chicken taste great. The chef who I believed to be the owner was very nice he even offered me a Gatorade when I was leaving out the restaurant. I am not local to this area so I would say maybe not the best area to be in late night but everyone was very kind to me. Meal type: Lunch
