"What a wonderful establishment fantastic food! The service is amazing. They give you that old school customer service feeling that 's hard to find these days. When you sit down to eat this flavorful creation that 's really unique, the atmosphere just seals the deal with the decor that brings you to a time past. It 's kind of an old general store feel from the mom pop shops of long ago. I definitely will be back to experience that great food nostalgic feeling. If you are in the area, don 't hesitate to stop by this lil gem. You won 't regret it!! :"

"I've visited this restaurant multiple times over the past couple of years. There have been moments when I decided to stop coming due to inconsistent food quality, but I kept giving it another chance because it was budget-friendly. However, that's no longer the case. Three months ago, I shared a photo of the menu because the prices had risen. Since then, several items have gone up by a few more dollars. I'm really disappointed by the rapid increase in prices."

"I have to say that I was impressed with the food. Specifically because Lafayette is a small city and not a melting pot like Houston, LA or NYC where you can find so many choices. I mentioned that the chef had to be from India, and my guess was right. When I tasted the food, I knew the ingredients were balanced in a way that whoever is cooking, he is someone experienced and had to be born in the Indian region where he can tell the exact taste and balance the spices that makes it delicious. Our waitress Allie was very nice, knowledgeable and helpful. She is a great listener and willing to learn. Lamb Biryani: The lamb was cooked to perfection. Very tender, great portion with respect to rice. Many places put 3 pieces and fill the whole plate with rice to save on cost and take away from the quality of the dish. My only comment is the riata should not be in a plastic cup. It took away from the presentation of the metal bowl. Butter Chicken: Sauce was equally balanced in respect to flavor. The creamy sauce was not too much buttery to the point where you can taste the butter and not too watery where you don't taste the main ingredients of the sauce. Chicken was soft and also cooked right. Some places you will eat the chicken and it has that little hard bite as if you're biting an undercooked steak fries. Samosas : Absolutely amazing, with the Tamarindo. Nan Garlic Bread: Delicious, dipping it with the butter chicken sauce was amazing. I would add the crispy bread Pappdum as soon as guests sit on the table. Ambience: I would invest a little bit lighting bulbs, decor here and there, some Indian music in the background to give that full experience. Entrance: Can be decorated better with Indian sari, vase, and accents. Overall, loved the place, keep up the quality of the food. Invest little more in the place and start working on some marketing strategies. This place has lots of potential. Highly recommended"

"Love the Muffaletta 's. The meat is cut thin piled high with a true muffaletta loaf that can withstand the oils of the olive salad without disappearing in a soggy mess. Closer to the real thing you get from those special places in New Orleans like Central Grocery without having to travel to the Crescent City. Nice quiet, intimate spot that is a favorite for old folks, little ones and teens. One of those go to places that provides food pretty quick but not fast food . Salad bar is always well stocked with ample salad and other fixings and the kids always end their meal with an ice cream cone from the self-serve soft-serve machine. Takeout is well packaged and ready to travel back home without the fear of getting home with a tossled meal. The whole muffaletta, enough for two generous servings or four eating lite for instance comes packed in two containers which are full in the box, holding the sandwich firmly but gently. You get a couple of bags of chips and they even provide couple of their pickle spears which are packed for take out. I would think THIS food plus a bucket of ice cream a cake would work well in catering a party for a bunch of teenagers."

"we celebrated our jubilee at marcello’s, and when I made the reservation on open table, I stated that it was for an annual day. when we arrived, there was a happy anniversary card that was signed by staff and waiting for our table. this type, together with the excellent food and ambiente, made for a fantastic evening."
