"This place is so good! Several years back, we ran across this gem for a weekday lunch. They had a bounty of all the Cajun Country standards, expertly prepared. Our second visit, a few nights ago, was a weeknight dinner. Smaller menu offered at night. Our server recommended the fried catfish. It was possibly the best I’ve ever had. It was a deliciously seasoned cornmeal dip. My husband had the Crawfish Étouffée, also superb. The entrées were both perfectly seasoned, as opposed to being spicy. We both had their house made potato salad and coleslaw as sides. No Sysco truck backs up to this place. Everything is from scratch and made with love. Check out their smoked sausage specialty meat. Bring home some Boudin- it’s spicy!"

Fantastic food from a local staple! The place is always bustling. The portions are generous, and there's a great variety to choose from. If you're looking for genuine Cajun cuisine, this is the place to be!

Absolutely the best boudin I've ever had! I adored the Louisiana-themed decor as well. Every dish we've tried has been fantastic—never a disappointment. We always make it a point to stop by whenever we pass through. Visualizza piatti

I've been visiting this place since a little girl whenever we come to town. Nothing has changed I'm still coming here. Family environment, clean with some delicious food. It's a lot of food. Be prepared to take home leftovers

After seeing the picture, you tell me! Crawfish étouffée, crawfish fettuccine, crawfish dressing, fried shrimp, and biscuit—all for just $20! This meal comes straight from Texas, and I know exactly where to find it in Louisiana!

You want some good down home southern Louisiana cooking this is definitely one of the places to go. I absolutely love the food. And highly recommend them for that. Also, now, behind this restaurant and store, is a kayak launch on the Teche. How cool is that? Visualizza piatti

Disappointed that one cannot get gumbo without oysters. Would expect drinks served in something other the Styrofoam if I am paying $40 per person. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes: Fried Catfish

Everything about this place says authentic, genuine, and flavorful. It was my first time here, and I loved the fried chicken, rice dressing, potato salad, and green bean casserole. Very nice open dining room. Friendly service and will answer questions. The owner was friendly and very nice to speak with about his family and restaurant.

"Once you enter, you'll find a cozy dining room and steam table area where you’ll likely see Ms. Glenda with one or two helpers. She typically offers three to four meats and a similar number of vegetables, all served on one plate. For drinks, you can choose from tea, lemonade, or possibly some canned soft drinks. Grab a seat at one of the tables and prepare to savor your meal. This is the kind of meal you’ll remember for its ability to evoke a smile with every bite. I recently had the chance to visit again after about three years, as I don’t pass through this area as often anymore. I got the last stuffed turkey wing, and to make up for the missing wing, they added a smothered pork chop. I picked corn and smothered potatoes for my sides, and with a refreshing homemade lemonade and tax, my total came to $14. Just like on previous visits, I felt a wave of happiness and satisfaction while enjoying my food. The meats were incredibly tender and flavorful, and the vegetables were delightful as well. The smothered potatoes carried a surprising kick that was unexpected but enjoyable. Both the wing and chop were served over a bed of white rice and drenched in savory gravy. South Louisiana is known for its rice, and true Cajun chefs like Ms. Glenda understand the significance of great rice and gravy. Honestly, I could happily eat just her rice and gravy. That meal was truly fantastic! This is the epitome of comfort food. Although it's a hole-in-the-wall type of place, the food is undoubtedly the main attraction. They also have a drive-thru window, as many locals prefer to pick up their meals and enjoy them at home. Those fortunate enough to be “in the know,” like myself and now you, also make the trip here. Be aware of their hours; they’re only open for lunch, and the dining room closes at 1 PM while the drive-thru stays open until 2 PM. You can call their number for the day's menu information. I've been visiting for over 10 years, and don’t be misled by the few Yelp reviews, as I doubt there are many Yelpers in Breaux Bridge, LA. Trust the current 4.5-star average though. Dining at places like this is like stepping back in time to a world that’s fading away. So take a break from the interstate, drive for six minutes, slow down, relax, and enjoy a delicious lunch."
