The food was excellent, and the beer selection was fantastic. I highly recommend this place! For our dinner takeout, we spent about $30 to $50 per person. The food was a solid 5 out of 5, as was the service and the atmosphere.

I was really looking forward to trying Food Freaks after seeing they would be at the fair. I ordered a burger to go, but it took a long time to receive my order even though there were only two people ahead of me. Once I got into my car and took a bite, I found the sauces to be tasty, which is why I’m giving it one star. Unfortunately, the burger itself was raw, which was incredibly disappointing. That’s $10 wasted.

Food Freaks is officially going to be our new go-to place for THE best burgers! I had the House Burger and it was messy but absolutely ahhhh-mazing! A perfectly cooked burger smothered in cheddar cheese, bacon jam and BBQ aiolli. My husband got the 'Shroom Burger. He said the marinated mushrooms were awesome! Our side choice was the Food Freak Bucket, a tray full of handcut fries covered with the same toppings as on my House Burger. YUM!! The service and attention were outstanding! The owners both made a point to check in with us to make sure everything was satisfactory, which we obviously took the opportunity to compliment them for the delicious food and our experience! The outdoor seating area is charming, situated at a distance from the street, featuring tables, umbrellas, and some roofing to protect the equipment from rain. Inside, there are various seating options, including high-tops, standard tables, booths, and a bar. Although the draft beer system was down during my visit, I had no problem enjoying a can of Bull City Cider while nibbling on street corn: a perfectly charred ear grilled to perfection, slathered in chili lime crema, and topped with a sprinkle of Mexican cheese and cilantro.
