"Delicious Japanese American/Hawaiian restaurant! This great little diner is tucked in the front of a local bowling alley and serves great Japanese American/Hawaiian food. They serve many Japanese and Asian dishes, as well as American diner fare, including breakfast dishes and sandwiches. The coffee shop includes Hawaiian staples into several of their dishes (e.g. Loco Moco, Portuguese sausage, Kalua pork, saimin noodles, etc. . The diner food is great too I had the chili rice and the chili was very tasty, and I consider myself a chili connoisseur. But the Japanese dishes are delicious as well. Their menu is very complete and robust. Tremendous find. The venue is a bit small, so probably no large parties. But, if you want some good Japanese American/Hawaiian food, or diner dishes, come check out Gardena Bowl Coffee Shop."

"Great food. I had the lemon dream pancakes, which were delicious. Only concern is that while we were waiting outside for a table we received a text that our table was ready but when we entered the restaurant we were told our table was not ready. We had approximately another 15 minutes to wait for our table. Once seated our orders were taken right away and our food and drinks came out quickly."

"Then, one of my co-workers noticed she had been overcharged. The owner claimed it was a system error and asked to speak to her. He explained that the prices had changed a few months ago but expected her to accept the new prices, even though he had given us the old menu with the previous prices displayed. He later adjusted her bill, but I checked my receipt and realized I had been overcharged too. At that point, his attitude worsened. He questioned whether I wanted a refund and insisted that the price was different, but I had not been confrontational at all; I just didn't appreciate being misled about the charges. He threw a bit of a tantrum, and one of my co-workers intervened, saying that his behavior was unacceptable. We stepped outside to wait for our food, which he said would take about 15 minutes. While we were waiting, I could hear him yelling inside the restaurant, clearly agitated about us. When my co-worker finally went back in, we discovered that our food had been sitting by the entrance the entire time. The owner became angry again when she told him he needed to take responsibility and treat customers with respect. He even put his hand near her face and told her to leave. In hindsight, we should have just left and asked for a refund, which we all regretted not doing. Given the pricing and the quality of food we received, it wasn't worth it at all. The service was terrible, and the pricing felt deceptive. I wonder how many other customers have been misled without realizing it—please check your receipts against the menu prices. I cannot recommend this restaurant; while the food itself wasn't bad, for the prices they charge, you'd be better off dining elsewhere."

"This is a lovely spot for family outings or catching up with friends. I was truly impressed with the overall experience here. The place was clean, and the staff was incredibly friendly. The prices are reasonable, and the food was delicious! They have two separate rooms for kids, allowing them to have fun and make new friends while you relax and enjoy your time. There's a small fee for the kids' area, but it's definitely worth it! We held a women's Bible study and were fortunate to have the private room in the back, which was fantastic. The owners were wonderful as well! I highly recommend this place. For my meal, I had the grilled chicken quesadilla, which was bursting with flavor, especially with the delightful sauce they drizzle on top—it really elevates the dish!"
