Germaine's Luau - Piatti

The whole experience was great from start to finish. Great food that was very filling. I suggest getting their souvenir cup so you can get double the drinks with your free tickets. A lot less trips to the bar. Also suggest getting the Premium seats because it comes with VIP lines and priority when getting food. Such great dancers and the fire dancer was the best part.

germaine’s luau is a happy place! you smell the roasted boar floating through the air while you listen and sing beautifully and dance observed by native people. the drinks are good and strong, but the menu is limited. eating is great and they can go back as often as they want until they are satisfied! they are very interactiw with the public even invite people to the stage! really great times!

If you ever come to Hawaii, yahll need to come to a luau! The culture experience and the buffet food is a once in a lifetime experience. Everything was perfect, but come early for good seats. The bathrooms are pretty decently cleaned. There is a full bar. The regular tickets come with 2 free adult beverages. With the package we selected, we received two drink tickets, which we used for a piña colada and a Blue Hawaiian. We enjoyed those so much that we went back for Mai Tais and other tasty cocktails. We sat at a picnic-style table with friendly people, and the buffet offered a variety of food that we went up to serve ourselves. Once everyone was settled, the show began and lasted for a couple of hours. While the food was decent, it didn't leave me wanting seconds. Came to Germaine's Luau for my and my son's birthday. On recommendation of comedian Gabriel Iglesias. We got there a little early (30 minutes), and was able to enjoy some time at the beach park next-door. The staff was amazing. From the ladies, working the parking, the ladies working the ticket booth, the gentleman directing us for pictures and drinks. Overall, every person we met, there was spectacularly wonderful. Especially since it was Thanksgiving day. The person who gave us our little tattoos, was also an excellent dancer. The young ladies, who made the flowers for our hair, also amazing dancers. A friend recommended this luau to us on a family vacation because the one at our resort was sold out. Driving to the event space took you through kind of a sketchy area, and once there it cost five dollars to park. You are greeted warmly upon entering and presented with shell leis. Your party poses for a picture, a copy of which you can buy later for 20 dollars (and it comes beautifully packaged). There was a man doing hand-drawn tattoos, as well as women making flowers for your hair (all for free, but tips encouraged). First, there was an excessive amount of narration throughout the event. While some commentary can be beneficial, the constant chatter from the emcee disrupted the flow and enjoyment of the performances. Furthermore, there was a noticeable lack of diversity in the dancing. It felt repetitive and didn’t showcase the vibrant variety we've experienced at other luaus. The food was disappointing as well. It was mediocre at best, and the alcoholic drinks didn’t impress either. For an event that typically focuses on local cuisine and tropical beverages, this was quite a letdown. My recent visit to Germaine 's Luau with my family, a mix of locals and visitors, was an eye-opener, and unfortunately, not in a positive way. As a kama 'aina, I expected the spirit of Aloha to shine through in every aspect of the experience. However, the lack of courtesy and respect from the staff was stark and disheartening. There were three particular incidents that marred our evening: When my partner was invited on stage, naturally, I wanted to capture the moment. A tourist family kindly allowed me to sit upfront for a better view. I do not recommend this luau. We were a bit late from driving from Turtle Bay and this place was at a cul-de-sac with gates closed. After circling around, a man pops out asking us if we were here for the luau and after we said yes, he opened the fence for us. We parked at the first spot and walked in. Everybody was already seated and watching the show by the time we got our shell necklace and drink tickets. We weren't too sure where to sit down until a luau host lady pointed out that the wristband was color coded to match the table cloth.
