"Zazu's is my Husband and I's go-to restaurant for taking out-of-town guests or for any celebratory occasion. We both have yet to be disappointed by the food or service (thank you Jarrel! Each menu item is well thought out, cooked with excellence, and absolutely delicious. We like to make reservations for the balcony and watch the sun set over downtown Opelika. My favorite menu item is the Blackened Mahi, which is served over the best grits I have EVER had... I dream about them. Go to Zazu's! Dietary restrictions: Great for gluten free! "I’ve had their ribeye, but the last two times I’ve went I just couldn’t help but get the filet with bernaise sauce and blue crab. The asparagus is always a nice touch but the taters are always freaking gooooooooddddddddddd(cont). It’s fancy enough to hold its price but not so much that it drops its charm. I notice a lot of low reviews are from out of towners. Look. We season our food around here. Go to longhorn if you want a plain meal. Cafe 123 is a small joint with big flavor."

"The service can be a bit slow, but the food is delicious. They have the best grilled chicken fingers I've ever had! However, I really wish they would spruce up the seating and decor. It feels quite old and worn-out, which could be unappealing to newcomers. One update: please consider replacing the booths and flooring. I understand that the rustic vibe is part of the charm, but I’m not a fan of sitting on duct tape or having my feet stick to the floor!"

"**Food:** Everything we tried was absolutely delightful. I ordered the lobster ravioli, and it was so good that I had my entire family taste it—they all loved it! I would highly recommend any of their pasta dishes, as they all looked and tasted fantastic. We began with the cheesy bread, but I would skip that on my next visit; the complimentary bread served with the meal was much better. We also sampled the calamari appetizer, which was just mediocre. **Wine:** We chose the moscato and sauvignon blanc that were on special; both were quite sweet and enjoyed by everyone at the table. However, I personally prefer a drier wine. **Service:** Our service was outstanding—we were seated quickly and received attentive service throughout the evening. **Ambience:** The restaurant features lovely lighting and a cool atmosphere, creating an upscale yet cozy environment. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience!"

"Visit this restaurant on Monday afternoon.... I'll say that maybe that was the problem. It was after 4:00 and everything wasn't on temperature for me. I have a rib (4 bones) with Mac and cheese and Brunswick stew and a pulled pork sandwich with the sweet BBQ sauce. The ribs were just from the grill... I mean, they took it from the grill. The Mac and the cheese were on a hot table behind the counter and the person who attached my plate pushed them into the individual serving pot. The plate came with 2 sides, 2 slices of white bread and pimples, which were finally sweet? and not dill. The pulled pork sandwich was a standard sandwich on a bungalow. Ok the ribs were hard and dry and had no wort, the Mac and cheese was cold and did not taste like any Mac and cheese I've ever eaten, and do not touch a compliment. The white bread on the plate looked like pieces that were close to the ends, so they were a little hard. The pulled pork nas decent it was nicely spiced, but was not dressed with some more sweet pickles.. I didn't like the Bbq sauce. I tried the sweet way it was thin for my taste. They had sweet, hot, Al white and vinegar. You also had a good selection of drinks and tea available self-service and everything you can drink while you eat. In the dining room was spacious and they had an outdoor terrace that was cute and covered. I didn't get a picture of it. There was a good parking lot. I didn't see any bathrooms, but I'm sure they were there."
