"For authentic German food, this is the best I've found in OC. The schnitzel sandwich is very tasty. The Reuben sandwich with the marbled rye is awesome! It's a family business that has persevered through the pandemic. I wish they were open later, because I don't usually think about dinner until 7pm at the earliest, and they close at 5pm during the week and earlier on weekends. My significant other spoils me and gets me food from the Globe Deli and keeps it warm until I get home. The daughter of the owner makes up desserts that aren't on the menu, and they are awesome. I noticed that Bavarian Crème puffs are not on the menu, so I asked him to ask. He came home with something even better. It was like a piece of pie with Oreo cookie crust, chocolate mousse and Bavarian crème. OMG...delicious. So today I asked him to get a beef dip with one of the most savory au jus you've ever had and another slice of the chocolate crème pies. He came home with something else I haven't opened yet, but he said when he asked the daughter for a slice, she said they didn't have any, but that she was going to make it again next week, so he ordered a full cake ! Yikes! He said it's for the whole family, but if they aren't all here...it may disappear you'll have to roll me out the front door!!"

The food is fantastic! If you're in the Costa Mesa or Newport Beach area, there's no need to drive all the way to Old World in Huntington Beach for German meats and cheeses. You can find them just as good here!

I absolutely love this place! The fresh pretzels, the veggie supreme sandwich, and the potato salad are all fantastic. But what makes it truly special are the owner and the staff. This place truly feels like home.

Globe Deli is outstanding had a schnitzel sandwich with german potato salad with bacon warmed . Reminded me of Munchen : Portions huge and staff friendly. Just wish they were open on the weekend so I could enjoy a beer with my lunch. Will return for sure. Visualizza piatti

hands down best Reuben I've ever had! the turkey Reuben was amazing, too! You can definitely tell they make everything in house. The owner his daughter were a delight to chat with while we waited. I will 100 be coming back for their hospitality and amazing food. Everything we got was fantastic I can't wait to come back!

yes yes yes!!!! superb and absolutely excellent!! I don't often say that something is absolutely perfect but this place their sandwiches are perfect. they got it all down from presentation to their bread being just the right crunch and the flavor is amazing so impressed hands down kudos to the chef kudos to the owner this simple small deli will impress you as well
