"Last night, my husband and I dined at Strings Italian Cafe, and it was a wonderful experience. The restaurant was spotless, and the staff were warm and attentive throughout our visit. The menu offered some truly delicious dishes! I especially loved the fresh vegetables in the minestrone soup and the surprising touch of raisins and sunflower seeds in my salad. Even our three kids enjoyed the homemade macaroni and cheese—definitely not the microwave kind! When I ordered a glass of wine, it arrived both in a can and in a glass. While I appreciate the eco-friendly approach of using cans, I would have preferred the wine served straight in a glass."

"There's pizza, and then there's *pizza*. A few weeks ago, my husband and I visited this restaurant for date night and had a fantastic experience with their pizza. They make their own dough and sauce on-site, and you can definitely taste the difference in the final product. The crust had an impressive texture—I'm quite picky about crusts, and this one did not disappoint. We ordered the Motherlode Meat, and they certainly didn't hold back on the variety and amount of meat. While it did have a bit of grease, that was expected given the generous toppings. My only issue was that there was a bottle of cleaner left on our table, which was a bit off-putting. Aside from that, it was a delightful and delicious experience. A large pizza was far too much for us to handle in one sitting, even as big eaters. We'll definitely be returning. If you want to avoid the crowds, it's a good idea to arrive a bit early."

"Tucked away from the usual tourist spots, this restaurant is definitely worth the effort to discover. With a rich history spanning 101 years, it's still owned by the founder's descendants. The charming stone building, adorned with warm wooden paneling and a cozy fireplace in the bar, creates an inviting atmosphere. The food is some of the most delicious and authentic Italian cuisine I've ever tasted. They also have a full bar and a thoughtfully curated wine list. The service is exceptional, with our waitress being the great-granddaughter of the founder. She shared fascinating stories about the restaurant and the area. I will always make it a point to return whenever I'm in the Jackson area."

"I was seated fairly quickly; if you arrive around 11 am, you should have no trouble getting a table inside or outside. The menu features a variety of straightforward options like salads and sandwiches. On my first visit, I tried one of the turkey sandwiches, which our waitress highly recommended (see the photo below). I had to step outside to take a call and when I returned, I was greeted by a towering sandwich that was practically the same height as my pint glass! It was absolutely packed with meat. I couldn't finish it all in one sitting, so I took half home and could barely close the takeout box. On my second visit, I opted for the crab grilled cheese to-go (also pictured). It had more crab than cheese, but it was simply amazing! Just a heads up, though: don't try to eat it while driving, like I did—it’s messy! The prices are quite reasonable, although some might think a sandwich with fries is on the expensive side. That said, the portions are generous enough for sharing or could easily serve as two meals. I was also impressed by the freshness and quality of the food, which makes it worth every penny. With Sutter Creek and Cavana's just an hour’s drive from downtown Sacramento, it’s a perfect little spot for a lunch (or dinner—I've heard their drinks are great too)!"

"I have been a long-time customer here, but after my experience last night, I won't be returning. I ordered a milkshake, and the girl who prepared it either dropped a piece of paper towel or, even worse, her band-aid into the blender. I spent the entire night throwing up, feeling like I had chunks stuck in my throat. It was absolutely revolting and a serious breach of health and safety standards."
