"I've ordered from this restaurant before, but it's been a while. I tried the fried catfish this time, and it was delicious; however, next time I think I'll ask for it to be fried a bit more. I'm usually a fan of steamed broccoli, and while theirs is sautéed and flavorful, I still prefer it steamed. The mac and cheese was good and very cheesy. As for the corn grits, they were slightly off for me; they tasted like they used sweet corn, which made them a bit sweeter than I would like. Overall, I had a pretty good meal, and I definitely won't wait so long to return."

"I'm not sure why this restaurant has such high ratings. Despite the cute atmosphere, the food was not good. I ordered the shrimp Kati roll, saag paneer, Naan, and the Caipirinha. All of the dishes were excessively oily. The Naan had a pool of oil on it when it was served. The presentation was lacking. The drink tasted very sour, like sucking on a lemon. The Kati roll had an overwhelming amount of dill and cilantro. As an out-of-towner, I was disappointed as this was our last dinner before leaving. Perhaps we just caught them on a bad night, but based on my experience, I would not recommend this place."

"The red beans were ok, the chicken was good, but the rest of my sides were inedible. The macaroni was salty and bland, the coco greens were overly sweet and wierd tasting and the pepper balls were inedible due to the amount of salt. I wanna support black restaurants but we gotta be better about using quality ingredients (not canned processed stuff) and using seasoning to flavor other than salt, especially considering high blood pressure is our arch nemesis."

"I went with a group for a birthday. It was the worst service any of us had ever experienced. Our waiter only took a couple of drink orders and then left for more than 20 minutes before we checked in to take the rest of the table order. For the food we had to tell him that we had to order. Then he took 4 orders, went away and didn't come back. When we got him to come back after telling several other workers we needed to complete the order, he forgot that he had taken the first orders. He finally took a few more orders and went, again not to every person at the table. It took 2 hours in total and the food came out at all different times. We were all honestly very confused about what was happening throughout our dinner."
