Amazing sushi (objectively speaking, but especially for the price! I had the Omakase dinner which was easily 10/10. Even stuff that I usually don’t like, I LOVED . Service was unfortunately slow, although friendly.

This restaurant in midtown is the go-to spot for a business casual lunch. Reservations are usually not necessary if you arrive by 11:45, but it may be risky after 12pm depending on the day or season. The lunch specials are consistently excellent and the staff is always friendly.

I don't normally visit midtown sushi restaurants.. simply because I normally find them over priced..but was going to a show at Radio City..and Hama came highly recommended. Cut to the chase...the sushi was fresh and absolutely delicious..service was superb...and honestly, it didn't break the bank. The sushi at this restaurant was just OK. We ordered sushi for two and it cost us around $50. The quality of the sushi was decent, but nothing extraordinary. The service was average, as we had to ask for the check three times. The food was passable, but it didn't taste very fresh. It seemed like they prepare the food on the premises, but store it in the back before serving it to customers.

Loved this place! We had just gotten into town and we’re absolutely famished. It was a Friday and we had forgotten to make reservations and couldn’t get in anywhere. We walked in here and they right away saw that we were exhausted and about to give up! Lol They made room for us, feed us the most amazing sushi we have ever had and made us feel right at home and welcome. Food, service, staff was everything hospitality is supposed to be!

I went in for the happy hour which ends at 6:30pm. I ordered the seaweed salad, which was very tasty, and the shrimp shumai, which either wasn't fresh or just didn't taste great. This was recommended to me by the waitress over the little neck clam soup. For $5 a dish in midtown, however, I have no complaints about portion sizes. Service was fine, though happy hour diners were seated in a separate section near the bar.
