Harpoon Harry's Crab House

I have visited this restaurant before and was disappointed this time. The alligator was good but the crab cakes were soggy.

Food was overpriced for the amount and style. The building is very nice and views of water were very pleasant. Service was good but food delivery a bit longer than expected.

We picked Harpoon Harry's based on social media reviews, then had our choice confirmed by our hotel bartender. Our choice was spot on; menu, food quality and service were all excellent. We will definitely visit again when we're in the area, and would recommend the place when asked.

Requested the Patio, we had our 5 year old grandson and the atmosphere was perfect. Server was a sweetheart! We ordered drinks, apps and dinner. Everything was delicious! My husband and daughter-in-law LOVED the shrimp fried and grilled. My son ordered Sushi- he was very happy! This was our final dinner in Dollywood! Very very happy!!

On our first visit to Harpoon Harry?s we arrived at 2pm and got seated immediately. The menu is pretty large! We ordered the bread basket for $6. The honey butter was good, but the bread was just okay. I ordered the blackened shrimp Cobb salad and my husband ordered the grouper platter. Both were very good! Our server did an excellent job. She was friendly, attentive to our order, and provided recommendations on what to sample. The restaurant was clean and not too crowded. The food was somewhat lacking in flavor and could benefit from better seasoning. The portion sizes were decent. My main complaint was that the dishes arrived lukewarm, while the plates were hot, likely due to being left under a heat lamp for too long.

I recently dined at Harpun Harry's. The food was good, but I was disappointed. They were out of filet mignon, so I settled for a ribeye which was satisfactory. I ordered queen crab legs, which were tasty, but they only provided a crab cracker tool. This was frustrating as I usually expect three different tools for cracking crab legs. When I asked about the missing tools, they informed me that they were out of them. It was a letdown not to have the proper tools to enjoy my meal.

Impressive building. Cool design. Welcoming atmosphere. Reservations ability a plus in pigeon forge. Friendly staff, not fake like. Option to go outside was declined by us due to a cafeteria atmosphere and noise level. Sat inside, very nice. Server “Melony” I believe, was prompt and pleasant. What stands out in our dining experience was definitely our server. She made us feel extremely welcome, pampered, and was very friendly. The fish n chips were amazing. The sushi rolls were good. We went primarily for the crab legs but at $72 per pound, that’s just not logical no matter what your budget. Joe’s Crab Shack is full while yours is half empty lastnight.
