High Street Restaurant Bar

Love this place. I had the creste di gallo pasta. It was delicious. My wife had the roman style gnocchi it was also amazing! This is a great place in town to grab a quick meal or to hang out after work for a cocktail or two.

Really small but bustling cafe. If you’re planning to eat in and inside be warned that there are only two 2-seaters inside and they are next to the constantly opening door. I ordered the squash and stracciatella pizza and it was sooo delicious. Highlyrecommend.

I definitely enjoy getting the chicken, beef pasta, and cod tarts again. However, I wouldn't order the shrimp appetizer, egg yolk pasta, or pizza again. I was not a fan of any of the three desserts: the caramel one, lemon cake, or cannoli. On a positive note, the daily bread, ricotta, and beef main dish were quite good. Visualizza piatti

What an amazing dinner! Started off with cocktails and really nice and creative appetizers, continued with a full tasting of delicious pasta, a monkfish and steak, finishing with meatballs and amazing mushrooms. Wine pairing was impeccable, and the service spectacular. The new space is really comfortable and the view of the kitchen/pastry laboratory is amazing. This is another winner!

This was my first visit, and I wasn't sure about many of the food options. However, the servers were helpful and knowledgeable. We decided to try the "let the chef choose" option and be a bit adventurous, and we were absolutely blown away. Every selection was outstanding, and we got to experience several new and delightful flavors! Overall, it was an incredible experience. Great job, chefs!

We examined from each segment of the menu, getting two from each with the exception of the main course. The segments were an incredible size and delightful! I can't say something terrible regarding anything we requested. For how much food we requested,and it was beyond what two people could eat at a time, the cost was entirely sensible with 3 mixed drinks included. It was anentirely pleasant feast, would return. The appetizers were fantastic. We ordered garlic knots and lamb meatballs, both of which were delightful. However, the entrees were only mediocre. The chicken, while roasted perfectly, lacked any aromatic flavors, making it quite bland. The steak was cooked flawlessly, but the side potatoes were overly salted. In short, the cooking technique is excellent, but the flavors in the entrees fell a bit short. The service was good, so overall, it was just an average experience—neither terrible nor remarkable.

I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant! Gregory was our server and he was very attentive and hyper aware of my wife’s allergy! The food was delicious! We had the tasting menu for New Year’s. I’m not a tartare fan personally. Tuna, steak, any tartare, I’ve steered away from. So hopefully you understand just how incredible their steak tartare is when I say I could have had another three plates of it! The grilled squid was a close second followed by the deviled eggs. They even had a fantastic dairy free dessert of plum and pomegranate sorbet! Will definitely be returning!

The food is very good, but quite pricey. Under most circumstances, I would give the restaurant 4 stars, but deducted a star because they nickel and dime. I spent over $200 and found out later they charged me $4.00 for rocks in a whiskey. Unfortunately I realized this after I left and it left a bad taste in my mouth. I have not been back into the restaurant since and started frequenting the bakery less often along with patronizing other nearby places. If I ever go back, I will scrutinize my bill and have superfluous charges removed, but considering how many good restaurants there are in Philly, why bother? Visualizza piatti
