Hooked On Breakfast

So happy we were able to find this amazing place on Google. Been looking for a new breakfast spot since 2022. The variety and freshness of the food is excellent. Lots of decadent breakfasts as well. See you there!

This is a cute little breakfast location I found last minute! This place was crazy busy around 10am and it’s a tight space so I felt crammed with all the other people dining. Home fries were different than the standard ones, wish we would have gotten a heads up on those.

The service was incredible, and the location was very relaxing. We ordered an omelette with home fries, sausage gravy, and biscuits, as well as some deviled tots. The tots were absolutely delicious and a must-try. The only disappointing part was the cold and flavorless sausage gravy and biscuits. Hooked on breakfast had me hooked. Quick, friendly service. The food was excellent! The thick cut rye toast tasted freshly baked. We had the Greek omelette the Asbury omelette with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar. The portions are generous. The home fries are uniquely light crispy have a subtle seasoned flavor. The strawberry pancakes with powdered sugar were the berry on top! If you are visiting Ocean City, it 's a must do!

Our first time there after holding a Christmas gift certificate for almost a year! ???? I remember how nice the hostess was when I bought it and how equally nice the staff was when we actually went! ???? We were totally pleased with the atmosphere, reception and service which made the food that much better. I had the Philly Special special cheese steak omelette wit! ???? I have been here many times and the food is always good. This time I went with my friends i haven’t seen in many years . We waited 45 minutes which was fine). They were busy and the waiter rushed our plates with food clearly on it but the topper is…. The owner asked us to leave bc other people were waiting 45 minutes.. WOW.. We just paid $50 and were rushed out of there like cattle. It will be a long while before I go back. I was so embarrassed bc I live here and I recommended this to my friends. Lesson learned.. We had an excellent breakfast here. The cannoli pancakes and the pumpkin pancakes were both amazing, and the fresh squeezed orange juice was good. The Asbury omelet was good, and the sticky bun French toast was good, but could have been phenomenal if there was a drizzle or sauce. The home fries were very unique and delicious. The decorations were great and our food came very quickly. There’s nothing like a great breakfast down at the Shore so when we discovered Hooked on Breakfast, we thought it sounded great from the reviews and gave it a try. We arrived by 8:30 on a Sunday morning and were promptly seated. The menu was extensive so there is definitely something for everyone. Our group of 4 was pleased with the selections ordered and the one standout that most of us had was the home fries. They were great! The service was friendly and quick and prices were reasonable. We will be back! As we left, there were people outside waiting so this place does get busy during peak beach season and on weekends.

We used to love Hooked on Breakfast and it was our favorite restaurant in OC. We used to recommend it to everyone. However, this past summer we had two very disappointing experiences. I requested a peanut butter chocolate chip pancake with just peanut butter chips and no chocolate chips. They had accommodated this request before, but this time we were told rudely that they do not do substitutions. I was puzzled by their inability to simply leave out the chocolate chips. Additionally, when I asked for an extra cup for my daughter because they were sharing breakfast (a 6 year old and a 3 year old), they charged me for two drinks even though it was just one drink split between two cups.
