Our Omaha Beach tour group of about 16 people stopped here for a prearranged lunch. We had preordered our meals when we booked the tour (Bayeaux Tours outstanding! , with a choice of chicken or fish. The chicken and au gratin potatoes were very good, as was the service. All the workers spoke a little English, and that, combined with the writer's 20 words of French, was more than enough for the purpose. Of course, the highlight is the stunning views of Omaha Beach. It almost seems wrong to sit there and enjoy lunch against a backdrop where so many brave people perished.
