"My mother discovered this bakery a few years before she passed away, and she absolutely adored it. My son and I have continued to visit Rise Up ever since. There isn't a single item we've tried that we didn't love. From the honey wheat rolls and sugar cookies to the oatmeal cookies and scones—oh, and let's not forget the cinnamon rolls! Everything is delightful. Recently, our new favorite is the chocolate chip cookie; it's simply incredible. The bakery is always spotless, and they're expanding without creating any mess! The staff may be young, but don’t let their age fool you; they are kind and very helpful. I used to think it was a bit pricey, but I was mistaken. Given the quality, everything is absolutely worth it. I've checked out other bakeries, and none can compare!"

"This is a fantastic local spot to relax and explore an extensive and constantly changing selection of beers and wines. The options are displayed on a chalkboard—beers on one side and wines on the other—filling nearly the entire wall with an impressive variety! They offer light tapas-style dishes such as flatbreads, cheese boards, and gourmet popcorn, and you're welcome to bring your own food to enjoy alongside your drinks. It's a fun atmosphere, and the owners are often present, providing assistance and being very friendly with patrons!"

"We have been coming to this restaurant almost regularly for over a year now, and it seems to just keep getting better with each visit. I have tried every entree on the menu and there is honestly not a single bad dish. Tonight, I had the veggie fried rice and my wife had the gnocchi with brisket. Both dishes exceeded our expectations. If anyone finds themselves in East Mesa and wants to treat their taste buds to great food, excellent service, and a unique atmosphere, they must find this hidden gem of a cafe. PS: the mac n cheese with brisket is amazing!"

"First time going here, the lady taking our order was rushing the heck out of us, we were only there for 30 seconds and she's kept asking us what do we want! As a business owner, I tried to keep positive, so asked her can you please wait we want to look over the menu, instead of saying okay and walk away she proceeded to ask do we want chicken, do we want beef, do we want seafood blah blah, we took a 3 second look at the menu. I was ready to tell my kids, lets roll but they wanted to try it so they just settled for their usual dish. What got me tee'd off was I know how the Clover and Square Point of Purchase tablet work because I've sold them and service them. As soon as we ordered she spins the screen around after swiping for the HIGHEST TIPPING AMOUNTS to show first! You want to lose my business try that on customers, they'll never go back. While standing there I swiped back to the other screen, she was totally surprised and then I open the menu so you can see the entire charge. Then I just looked, smiled and gave her 15%. The food is cafeteria level bland, my kids beef was burnt tasting and no flavor. The swiping of the Square or Clover POS screen to the highest tipping menu, instead of letting the customer choose or ask is there a higher tip screen? will get you ZERO business from me or my associates ever. This is a bad business practice and companies have no idea how much business they are losing doing this silly ploy. The food also would not have me go back. I tip regardless if you give me good service or not, if the service and food is horrible, then don't expect me back ever. "My girlfriend and I absolutely love this restaurant. We have visited multiple times now and have consistently enjoyed the delicious food and great service. The prices are reasonable, especially during their all day happy hour. The sushi is definitely worth trying and you won't be disappointed. The interior is clean and although it is on the smaller side, it has a nice ambiance. It's a great spot to hang out with friends or for a casual date night. We ordered the Rainbow, Red Boy, Salmon Tempura, and Double Spicy rolls along with a side of potstickers. Everything was delicious, but the double spicy rolls were especially outstanding. We will definitely be back for more sushi soon. The staff is friendly and efficient, and the sushi is prepared right behind the counter so it comes out quick and fresh."
