"Most negative reviews come from older patrons, but this place is actually quite good. It's the best pizza around here. While it may be a bit ordinary, other nearby options seem to pile on the grease. Overall, this restaurant has delivered a decent experience. The service was attentive; when I placed an order, they made sure it was delivered promptly. I did have one experience with a burger that wasn't hot, and they were genuinely concerned when I mentioned it—they even refunded my money, which is impressive customer service. On another visit, the burger I had was quite good, so maybe my earlier experience was just a one-off. The staff are friendly, the place is clean, and everything runs smoothly. I have no complaints. It's a great option if you don't feel like cooking. Compared to everything else in the area, this place really stands out."

I'm not sure where all the negative reviews are coming from—this place is fantastic! The pizza is classic New York style: hot and delicious. The staff is wonderful as well. Honestly, it's probably the best pizza in Willi. They even offer slices for a quick lunch. Just a note: the bad reviews seem to be directed at Husky Pizza, which used to operate in this location. This is Tasty Tomato, a different pizza place altogether. It feels unfair for them to bear the brunt of that negative reputation.

"I ordered from this restaurant today for the first time in 10 years. I had a well-done burger with onion rings and it was a horrible experience. The burger was old and dry, and the bun was extremely hard around the edges. I tried to eat the meat without the bun, but it was too dry to enjoy. The onion rings were okay, but I didn't finish them as they were part of my meal. My wife ordered the Caesar salad, which was also disappointing. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to return the food due to work commitments. Out of all the restaurants in this small town, this was the worst meal we've had to date. We won't be coming back anytime soon and hope that the quality of the food improves in the future."

"The food and service was excellent. After using the immaculately clean rest room, the food was delivered to our table in record time. This restaurant is practicing safe dining with plastic panels between booths and tables spaced well over the recommended distance. Patio dining is also available. The menus are disposable after use. Needless to say, the staff are all masked and they are sanitizing the doors and other surfaces during any lulls in business. Pricing is commensurate with any better quality diner. My Bodybuilder omelet, made with egg whites and veggies was $12.99 with choice of two sides."

"I left a review previously and said that while I still enjoyed coming here, the nachos weren't as good as they once were. I got an official reply saying the nachos were always this way. So here's proof, from 2019 that they used to look and taste verydifferent. You can see the color is different and there's not a hint of grease, the cheese blend melted together and sat on thechips without soaking into them. Obviously there was still grease on the cheese but it never made the chip soggy. You can see itbest in the third image. I was told by the cook that the recipe was changed from a three cheese blend to a two cheese blendmany years back, and I don't know what it is now. I don't know if it's even possible to get the old nachos back. The onlyreason I kept going back was hoping to recapture the taste that made me stay in Willimantic. But not a single nacho used to besoggy, and the cheese stuck to the plate, you could pry it off with a knife and every single bite was amazing. Now it's verygreasy and unlike the nachos of yesteryear. I don't blame current management for not knowing that it was different in the past,but I am still very sad to lose what once was. Go for the beer, though. It's still great."

"New England is the home of the best pizza in the country, and in Connecticut we are blessed with lots of great pizza places. In my opinion none are better than Pleasant Pizza. They get it exactly right every time: the perfect crust, the perfect toppings, and combinations you might never think of yourself but that are invariably wonderful. They are five minutes from my house. That’s a good reason right there to live in Willimantic."

"This restaurant is a wonderful choice for outdoor dining. The food is fantastic, and the vibe is quite laid-back. Since it's an outdoor venue, it's seasonal, so be sure to check the weather before heading over, although the tables do have covers. I tried the taco salad and a milkshake, both of which were delightful. The service was exceptional, and I would rate the overall experience a perfect 5 out of 5 for food, service, and ambiance. If you're seeking a relaxed outdoor dining experience, this is definitely the place to visit. Expect to spend between $20 and $30 per person for dinner."
