"It was a lovely experience. The food was delicious. The flavors were well balanced, and the meat was expertly prepared. I literally got goosebumps when I took my first bite of sirloin. (That's a good thing. Our server was friendly and just attentive enough. The the staff in general seemed at ease and confident. The atmosphere was great. Ended the meal with a moist and not too sweet chocolate bundt with decadent vanilla ice cream and leisurely cup of coffee."

We had the rattlesnake pasta and a piece of carrot cake, again it was delicious! Our server was fantastic! Keep up the good work! Oh yeah, could you think about bringing back the croissants?

The flavor of my ribeye was good but there was nothing special about the cut of meat or anything else. Decent food for way to much money. They were not even busy and the service was mediocre at best.

Ordered 2 carrot cakes. A full sheet and a 1/2 of a sheet. The cake was excellent. The customer service was lacking. They wouldn’t do curbside because I hadn’t ordered on line. I had called and said I was on my way and I still had to wait when I arrived. The manager was not confident in his response on how to warm up the whole cake at one time. Superb. The atmosphere was great. It was packed but the staff was efficient and friendly. Now that we are past that. This food was absolutely amazing. The steaks were delicious. The salad was great. No salt and pepper needed. The smoked salmon, we scrapped the plate. Then came the carrot cake. OMG. I seriously considered bringing out my inner child and licking the plate. I highly recommend. No. I didn’t lick the plate. Ohhhh and the lemonade, fantastic.

The Maui Ribeye is delicious and the atmosphere is mellow. 3 stars because a restaurant that charges $50 for a steak and mashed potatoes should have better and faster service. Reservations should not be met with more than a couple minute wait. Not 15 minutes. If charging $15 for an old fashion, it should be a proper old fashion. J Alexander’s should look to Eddie V’s for advice on proper service and cocktails, if they are charging a similar price point.
