"This is hands down goes in my list of best places I ate in my five years in USA. They stand for Blue Zone Project which promotes healthy/fresh food eating for long health. And they truly stand by it, the food took 20-30mins to prepare for our group of 5 people, but when it came out, it truly was worth the wait. The Fresh pipping hot rice with Malai Kofta, just melted in my mouth. Everything they made was made only after they received the order. If I am around this area again I am definitely not going to miss swinging by"

"Nice Greek spot in downtown Roseburg. Downtown is fairly limited with food options. Happy to have stumbled upon Alexander's!! They've got an authentic menu with gyros, spanikopita, dolmades, pita, hummus and much more. The dining area leaves you wanting a bit more. It is pretty scarce, nothing special. With the prices they are charging, you'd expect there to be a bit more atmosphere. The food was tasty, bold, and rich with flavor! We had the traditional gyro with salad and Greek fries. Service was great they were super friendly courteous and handled the covid environment very well!"

"Infamous as Roseburg’s only Thai restaurant, Bangkok West’s unenviable challenge is to satisfy local tastes raised on American Chinese while serving a dependable variety of Thai dishes. Make no mistake. Bangkok West isn’t competing on the same playing field as Andy Ricker's Pok Pok and nor should it be judged as if it was. The Thai dishes are westernized, evidenced by menu listings for Thai Spicy soup tom yam) and Thai Coconut soup tom kah). Still, southern Oregon patrons craving dishes spiced with lemongrass, galangal, coconut and lime leaf will find an oasis at Bangkok West. The pork noodle soup $7.50) is my lunch crutch. The rice noodles are submerged in a savory pork broth with pork, bean sprouts and other vegetables. The dish is also prepared with beef, chicken or shrimp but I never waiver from pork broth. When I need a more medicinal meal, I choose tom yam, a hot-and-sour soup. The lemongrass, lime leaves, fish sauce and crushed chili peppers work wonders when I’m suffering a head cold. My wife’s lunch favorite is pad thai, pan-fried, thin rice noodles with egg, bean sprouts, green onion and ground peanuts. We’ve also shared the seafood combination soup shrimp, scallop, crab, mussels, mushrooms and lemongrass) and enjoyed the seasonal pumpkin kabocha) curry. Today, I asked Jit, the proprietress, for a cold dish recommendation on an unusually warm spring day. Jit recommended pla goong, a Thai grilled shrimp salad. Bangkok’s West version comes with red onion, lettuce, cucumber and tomato in a spicy lime dressing. The dish is listed in the menu as Shrimp Super Salad $13.95). Ask for the Thai condiment caddy to raise the heat. BTW: I skip the Bangkok West appetizers unless my guest requests a plate of deep-fried familiarity — crunchy wonton, shumai, Mar Far chicken, pork egg rolls and potstickers. Here’s a tip for authentic Chinese food: if you read “potstickers” on the menu, it isn’t authentic. Frozen potstickers are a poor substitute for guotie, pan-fried jiaozi Chinese dumplings filled with a mix of meat and vegetable fillings that almost always include garlic chives and cabbage)."

"I had a wonderful experience at this Italian restaurant. We made a reservation for a large group, and the restaurant was able to accommodate us perfectly. The food was delectable, and the staff were courteous and enthusiastic. I ordered the veal scaloppini, which was absolutely amazing. The sauce was both sweet and savory; I couldn't resist wiping my plate clean with the freshly baked bread they provided. The pomegranate limoncello martini was delightfully tart and refreshing, with a nice strength to it. As for parking, there’s limited street parking available directly in front of the restaurant, but if you can't find a spot, there’s a parking garage just a block or two down the street."

"What a great little place! I ordered online and picked up on our way through town. I was able to make special requests for cooking our order with less oil and salt, and the food definitely tasted light and fresh. We did not eat in the restaurant, as it’s not an option right now, but the employees were friendly at pick up. Will definitely stop again next time we’re out this way."
