It's one of the best Irish pubs I have ever visited. Authentic Irish food and the atmosphere is unbeatable. The service was a touch off but nothing to be upset by.

Good food, service, and atmosphere. Fair prices. I had the rueben sandwich, and it was pretty good. The house chips that come with the sandwich was just okay. Would recommend.

My steak was perfectly cooked,my potatoes was so good,long island tea was made perfect,my bbq shrimp was overcooked we ate outside which was lovely but they had all high chairs which made our feet go to sleep definitely need more regular chairs.good environment,great vibes…I will visit this place again.. Great location inside and out. They keep heaters on the patio for winter. I've been for a multitude of events from retirements to weekend Army lunch gatherings, to just a simple drink after work. Diverse menu of options and it all tastes great. I love the burgers though. Sorry no pics, too busy enjoying the place while there. Maybe next time.

John D. McGurk’s Irish pub has nightly live Irish music and it is located in an eclectic historic building in the Soulard historic district of St Louis. They have an awesome patio with a fish pond and nice landscaping that is tented and vented with HVAC for year round access. On weekend evenings, the (3) patio bars can get crowded. "As my last night in St. Louis, I decided to search for the best steak in the city, possibly even at a Top 10 Steakhouse. Hamilton's Urban Steakhouse lived up to its reputation. The service was excellent, the food was very good, and I had a great time with my colleagues. The atmosphere was enjoyable and comfortable. Our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. The fresh bread was light and delicious. We started with a charcuterie board, which was perfect for sharing. The bacon fat candle was a creative touch. The Caesar salad was good, but not outstanding. I ordered the 12oz KC strip, which was cooked well but lacked seasoning on one side. The steak was sourced from Midwest farms and was overall very good. The loaded baked potato was decent but slightly burnt on the bottom. The macaroni and cheese was mediocre, tasting like velveta with melted cheddar. The bread pudding for dessert was tasty, though the bourbon flavor in the sauce was overpowering. Overall, Hamilton's Urban Steakhouse is a good restaurant with a solid steak near downtown St. Louis. I would recommend it to others, but it falls short of being a Top 10 Steakhouse."

"The atmosphere was good, the noise level was fine, it was the food that was lacking. The service was very good, nice wait staff and reception! The sweetness of the sauces in our Mexican food was very different and not in a good way! Even the salsa for the chips was more like spaghetti, how do you mess up something simple like salsa??? We think the worst was the enchilada sauce, sweet sauce come on, cinnamon doesn't go with enchiladas, I don't care if it's California, it doesn't taste good, sorry!!!!!!"

"Cool restaurant in downtown St. Louis. Bonus it was within walking distance of many hotels. Excellent service and friendly staff. The sushi was fantastic! The tempora shrimp was amazing and came with tempura vegetables too. The house salads were great. It was also very affordable. The sushi bar is in the middle of the two story restaurant. They were packed on a Friday at 7 pm but we only had to wait a few minutes while they cleared a table."

"We came for my boyfrienda birthday. It was extremely disapppointing. The food was awful and over priced. There was also limited selection. The caesar salad was terrible and full of the ier yellow lettuce that made it bitter. I hadnt been to the restaurant for years and it has significantly gone down hill. I was speaking to an acquaintance and he had the same opinion.Service was ok but slow. Actually the busboy forget to give one of us water and when we asked for it, he argued with us and said he did give it.Truly was a waste of moey but more importantly ruined the birthday celebration."
