the chicken tender were so good im not going to lie. BUT this girl today l, she was wearing leggings and a colorful was having some starring issues. she had no right to be looking at my boyfriend that way.

Very good fish fried chicken. Okra was perfectly cooked. Very friendly people who respond quickly to all requests. We really enjoy going there, even though we do not live in Kilgore. It is worth the drive.

This is by far the only real fried chicken around. Imagine KFC in the 70's and your grandmother or great aunt, you know the one, they went to their grave with the recipe. Combine the goodness and love and out pops a piping hot, oh my god- piece of Fried Heaven.

For the first time this will be my last I came to order a three piece dark two legs and a thigh and waited a good 12 minutes for my order to go… got back to my spot I got two wings and a Brest that was stale the only thing was good and fresh was the fries and Mac and cheese… never again

Best chicken anywhere. I haven't lived in Kilgore for a decade, but a good friend who still lives there says the customer service is as awful as I remember it being. I'll be stopping by in the next month to see. Your chicken is amazing. Your seafood, not so much. I want to give 5 stars, but if you still treat your customers the way you did when I lived there, I'll be posting a video of my visit. The only reason you are there is because of your chicken. WOW! Had the Tuesday special $10). Spicy option) tenders, green beans, fries, sm drink roll included&gravy). The photos may look generic but do not be fooled! I ate every crumb off my plate, the tenders had my nose running; I ended up eating my green beans all at once because I couldn’t stop. The staff was polite and helpful and down to earth. The location was clean and homey. Service was fast and the food was served steaming hot and fresh. I WILL be coming back when I come through Kilgore again. Highly recommend!

I really wish I would had taken photos, but nevertheless, the fried chicken was delicious. Crunchy on the outside and moist in the middle. Wifey and bought a 2pc with roll to try in the truck. We've been fooled too many times by others' reviews. Man, I immediately went back in and ordered full dinners for both of us. Whenever we're in that area, we will stop by. UPDATE 04/23/2023 Man oh man oh man. Chicken was just as I remembered. Juicy and crunchy. That meal didn't make it out of the parking lot. I ate it in my car again. They fry to order, so it's always fresh. I'm glad I was in the area.

I had the worst experience that I’ve ever had at any establishment in my life! The cashier was extremely rude and disrespectful. As a former life long resident of Kilgore I always stop by Johnny Ozark when I’m in town BUT never again!! I was told that “We don’t have any original chicken because they ain’t making no more”. While I continued to order my food, I’m assuming the man that blasted through the door was the manager, he proceeded to announced to the whole restaurant that as of 7:05 pm “I’m not making anymore dark meat!
