"I visited Donovans today for my birthday dinner and ordered the 16 oz prime rib while my wife opted for the flat iron steak. We also shared the crab cakes as an appetizer, but unfortunately, they were disappointing—lacking texture and quite unappetizing. When our steaks arrived, I found that my prime rib had no seasoning and was devoid of a proper sear. My wife’s flat iron steak, which was ordered medium-well, was also poorly cooked and completely overdone. Our server appeared to be the only one on duty and was clearly overwhelmed, running around trying to manage everything. I certainly won’t be coming back to this restaurant. To the management, it’s crucial to ensure that your staff isn’t stretched too thin—if you’re that busy, it’s important to step in and assist them."

"Traveled 45 minutes to meet some old friends for dinner! We had heard good things so we decided to give it a try! Great seasonal beer selection with local breweries represented and a fine wine list. Stuffed mushrooms appetizer was stellar. Lobster ravioli was cooked to perfection with a delicious sauce topped with 4 large shrimp. Enjoyed our leftover Chicken Riverside the next day for lunch OUTSTANDING even after a night in the fridge. As great as the food was the staff (owners) were exceptional! We have never felt more welcome, especially on our first visit! We were treated like family! The Riverside Steak and Seafood Restaurant will be our top choice for an evening out from now on, even with a 1.5 hr round trip. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"The food was excellent! We loved the glazer dogs! Onion rings and Cajun dip were done perfect and the Quebec poutine was a great surprise with the curd! We also had fountain soda and a pumpkin roll ice-cream sandwich that did not disappoint. I can't wait to stop in and try more! Great Job everyone I will be sending an email to Guy Fieri for sure! "Where do I start. I rarely give a bad review because I would rather just walk away, but we were really disappointed eating at this place. First off when we got there it looked really nice, very inviting. Got inside, nice greeting, seat yourself. You can see the specials on the wall, kind of cool. The waitress was very nice, and very accommodating. But that?s where the fun ended. I inquired about the ribeye special that I saw on the blackboard at the entryway and the waitress said let me check I think we only have two left and I don?t think it qualifies as a special if we have three or less left. OK well I found that weird but she came back and said the ribeye special was $24. When I asked her how come the special is $24 but the actual price on the menu is 18, she just shrugged and says I don?t know. Anyway, rather than go with the special we chose to order the house steak, which I believe was a 10 ounce Delmonico. Ordered medium well, it came out and you could see there was a giant blob of fat the size of a half dollar in the Center. After trimming the rest of the meat there was less than half the steak left over. Mind you, it tasted good however who wants to pay $17 for 4 ounces of meat that is just OK. Oh, not to mention the frozen vegetable medley that they barely warmed to go along with the steak. When the manager cook chef whoever was the person that they sent out to discuss this with us, he just shrugged his shoulders and said well that?s just too bad because that?s the way they sent us the meat. I asked if there was anything we can do to fix this, and he just said no it?s kind of just the way it is. So I told him plainly that I would be happy to post a review with his comments and he just shrugged his shoulders and said whatever and walked away. If you?re local and you like this place, it?s probably because you don?t order the steak. Some of the other dishes we saw come out looked very inviting. Good luck with this one."
