"To celebrate my birthday and impending trip to Greece, I chose Kellari Taverna. The service was a little slow, probably because it was pre show dinner time. But the food more than made up for having it. We chose several items from the Appetizers and Sides menu and had them served family style, which I understand to be the Greek way. The Greek salad (aka Horiatiki) was fresh and topped with the best feta I have ever tasted. The spanakopita topped with sesame seeds equalled my mom 's. And I can 't say enough about the wine I chose Assyrtiko from Santorini. Altogether, it was a delightful experience and can 't wait to go back."

Very noisy. Seating so close that conversations were difficult.

Each time we come to NY, we plan for a meal at Kellari. It never disappoints

Over the years we have dined at Kellari many times, but this was our first time back since the Pandemic. Sorry to say, while it is still a very pleasant interior, the quality of the food and service have gone way downhill. Visualizza piatti

This is the second time here and it was even better than the first. Our waiter was attentive but not intrusive. He was there just when you wanted something. The drinks and food were perfect. As was my whole dining experience.

Appetizer was very good. Entree was just awful, but it was the “special”. It was nothing like it was described, but it was so loud in there and the tables are close. Very hard to hear. Our waiter was covering 4-5 tables and would breeze by occasionally. The baklava saved the day.

We had a pre theater dinner at the restaurant. We chose the dinner special three course meal for $65. Food was delicious. Our waiter was quite accommodating and knowledgeable. Other staff and servers were friendly and very attentive. The ambience lived up to the website pictures. Visualizza piatti

Kellari is the best Greek/ seafood restaurant in NY. The food is simply amazing, service is great and my wife loves the restaurant setting. We got confused and went to Milos thinking that was the Greek restaurant we had visited before, so we had the chance to compare (by mistake) and I confirm that Kellaris is the best.

Started off not great but the waiter and food made up for it. The hostess was not friendly. I didn’t have a reservation and she said it would take 30 min so I got on open table and made a reservation in the moment. She was not pleased by that and it showed. But the waiter made up for her lack in service. He suggested a great geek wine and was very attentive. The wine was great and to my surprise only $60. The food was even better. Get one of the whole fish. The one he got was light and mild but so delicious! Paired well with the sautéed spinach.

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
