Chicken sandwich was good but woul have loved to try it with the brioche bun, but they ran out

Great food, but know the seating is outside so it will be hot. Service was prompt and the food was interesting, and with the small plates, I got to try a lot of different things.

Bad service. And Lack of communication from staff. After placing our order we where told the items where no longer available and with no other options presented our party had no choice but to leave the restaurant.

The service at this restaurant is excellent and attentive. Some of the small plates that can be shared were exceptional, such as the plantains, dates, and beet salad. The misters on the patio helped make the 100-degree weather bearable.

The food and service were incredible, however it was HOT!! It seems the swamp cooler was struggling and it was a little muggy indoors, but it was worse outside so we're ok with that. Maybe a mini split could help : Overall a great dinner option. Visualizza piatti

As soon as we walked in, we were excited by the atmosphere and the friendly host who welcomed us. However, our experience took a slight downturn when the bartender seemed unhappy when my girlfriend ordered a tequila double short. Moving on to dinner, the table setup was impressive and our server was nice, but they forgot to put in some of our orders and failed to mention that the chicken dish had bones in it. Despite these setbacks, we would consider returning as we think it may have just been an off night due to the busy atmosphere.

Kitchen in the Desert is a unique dining experience in Twentynine Palms. This is a very popular venue with visitors to the Joshua Tree National Park and locals. Make a reservation as early as possible if you wish to dine here. Most of the seating is outdoors, the lighting is dim so it’s not unusual to see people trying to read the menu with the light on their cell phones. The menu is limited but focused on delectable dishes. In the cooler months plan to dress for evening cold temperatures. Take time to walk around the grounds to see murals about Twentynine Palms and some of our history. The staff is friendly and quick with suggestions about the options on the menu. The menu indicates that the dishes are meant to be shared by 1-2 people. I ordered the $30 lamb chops, but was disappointed to receive only about 2 spoonfuls of rice and 3 small, bony pieces of lamb. My mom's jerk chicken was also undercooked, with an unusually pink color. Most of the other guests in our party opted for burgers, which came without any fries or sides, requiring an additional purchase. Our food was served at different times, with some dishes arriving before our drinks from the bar. Despite making a reservation in advance for my birthday, the staff did not acknowledge the special occasion, simply asking if we had a reservation upon arrival.
