"We have patronized La Cima for years now. Today must have been an off day for our favorite establishment. The black bean dip was horrible; watered down and just bland! This is a first and major downfall for it is one of our staples when we visit. The appetizer was good, the main entree for me was a total miss. I had the Flautas Maria and it was so over-cooked, the chicken inside had browned. What a major let down this evening. Worst yet, it was prior to their evening rush so there were only a few patrons in the establishment! At least the server was top-notch. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100 Recommended dishes: Brisket Tacos"

We had a wonderful dining experience! The food was delicious, and my wife and grandkids absolutely loved it! We ate lunch there and spent over $100 per person. Both the food and service were outstanding, earning a perfect rating of 5 out of 5. The atmosphere was also great. I highly recommend the salsa, Baja tacos, fajitas, and brisket tacos!

Pretty much a disappointment. Food was just ok. Nothing to brag about. However, the bean dip with chips was tasty. The other salsa was pretty good as well. The service was horrible. "I love their crispy chicken!! IMO, they serve up the perfect chicken tender! Hubbs and I both had the tender basket. One of us got the corn fritters/corn bites, and the other got the jalapeño bites. Both sides were really good. All the food was really fresh and hot! Hubbs was thrilled to see they had a chocolate chip cookie on the menu, and he said it was good. I picked up the state fair mini funnel cake. It was the crispiest funnel cake I've ever had. It was tasty, and it was the perfect size we even shared it! The restrooms were clean, although I was surprised to see a single bathroom for each of sex. The restaurant itself is beautiful and looks relatively new. The only negative thing was that most of the tables were dirty, with visible crumbs on them. However, there were perhaps 3 people working the lunch rush, so I can't really fault them for that. And they were really nice, so....dirty tables forgiven!!! We were able to sit at a clean table, and they were cleaned before we left."

"I had a terrible experience after eating here. I really appreciate the family that runs the restaurant; they are genuinely lovely and hardworking people. However, the food just wasn’t to my taste. That said, it's just my personal opinion, and the rest of the town seems to really enjoy it, which is what matters most. I admire the effort they put into their work! It’s just not my first choice for dining. The service was fantastic, though!"

While there may have been a slight delay in taking orders, the quick service in delivering the food suggests efficient kitchen operations. "On August 30, 2023 at approximately 4:18 PM I arrived at Sonic in Van Alstyne. I placed an order for a Route 44 Dr. Pepper, corn dog and a soft pretzel. It was moderately busy at this location and I noticed there was only one car hop and she was working very hard. I waited patiently approximately 15 to 20 minutes for my order and when the lone car hop came to my window I told her she was working hard and needed a raise in pay. She took offense because she informed me that she was the general manager. Anyways I got my order and drove off. Got about 3 minutes and realized I didn’t get my corn dog. Almost didn’t want to go back for it but I did. I went to the front door and a nice gentleman got me my corn dog. Then general manager came up to my window and asked me what I was doing back there and I told her why. She was looking at me like I did something wrong. Then the owner gets out of his truck and tells a customer next to me that he is going to be the last customer of the day. Long story short I got to see the owners operate and I’m not impressed. You made feel like I was doing something wrong by returning to get what I paid for. And I didn’t like the way the owner was talking to customer next to me. I’ve been to a lot of sonic’s in my lifetime and I never seen owners acting so strange at a sonic. It’s there business and they can do what they want but SMH. Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1"
