The burrito is my go to and I have to have my sprite to push this all down. It's a delight I crave and I get it at LA Fonda. Vegetarian options: You can enjoy yourself.

Food was great for me! The prices were good too! I had the enchilada plate and my husband had the seafood caldo. We both cleaned our plates which is hard for me to do! I can't wait to go back and try more things from their menu!

"This is one of our favorite spots in Shafter! Everything is excellent. The heat level is up there. The salsa had a nice bite. The tortilla chips and guacamole are fresh made when you order and spicy. My omelet was fluffy and my husband's was cooked perfectly as well. The chile verde was spicy and good balance between sauce and meat. The rice and beans were good as well. We've had the huge breakfast burritos, enchiladas, chile colorado, chimichangas, and other items on other visits and it's always been delicious. Service is always great. They are quick, polite, and attentive."

"I didn't dislike my experience. When we got there, it was just my family and me. We ordered a pepperoni pizza, but it took nearly an hour for our food to arrive. My kids were getting restless, so we tried to keep them entertained. There were three machines, and we put a dollar into one, but it didn’t work. We felt like we were waiting forever, but the food was delicious. If you have somewhere to be, I wouldn’t recommend going. However, if you’re looking for a laid-back evening (where most of the time is spent waiting for your meal), then it’s a good choice. Overall, I might go back, mainly because the food is so tasty."

However, the service was extremely friendly, fast, and the young man at the window informed us that the price of the large drinks had been lowered. The service for takeout meals was excellent. The average price per person was between $10-20. The food was rated a 4, the service a 4, and the atmosphere a 4. Recommended dishes include the French Fries and Dr Pepper."

"I have only eaten in the restaurant once, and my experience was excellent. I had carnitas tostadas. Delish! I have had Carnitas burritos ordered from here several times. Their burritos are not filled with rice and beans. They are FILLED with meat! A LITTLE bit of rice. I make two meals out of one burrito. And, what is most important to me, is the QUALITY of the meat. These folks pick their meat like I do fat, gristle, ect. belong in the garbage, not in my burrito! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!! Clean meat eaters rejoice! Not once have I gotten a bite of fat or gristle in my burrito. I hope I never do! Keep up the good work!"
