"This is a few weeks overdue. We spent my fiances birthday in the area and had dinner here. We both run seperate restaurants, and are rarely wowed and always have a critical eye and palate. Absolutely, positively every thing that came to our table, was outstanding. Wine list, the bread, the amuses...was exceptional. They took oysters to a new level. The venison tar tar was beyond expectation. The entrees (I had the lamb, I can't even remember what he had because I was so obsessed with mine...and he equally loved his) set the stage of a higher echelon to hold our discerning tongues to. The dessert and cheese board were phenomenal. There is such an incredibly fine line of truly creating food into art, and that means excelling far beyond a pretty presentation and great flavor as Seperate entities. They can afford to be as bold as they are creatively, because they do not miss a beat. If you are thinking about going here, stop, you're wasting time. Or, if you are truly passionate about food the way we are, you will walk out thinking it would be an honor to learn under this chef. Our utmost respect to every person that displayed unrivaled talent on our plates that night, our server who was warm steadfast and diligent, even the young man who served us bread with unparalleled enthusiasm. You and your team set the bar. Thank you."

"Zini 's wins the eating out trifecta. Welcoming staff, fresh and well prepared food, willingness to make accommodations for each of our requests. Large portions of healthy food friendliness add to the charm.In Litchfield County, where things sadly can be pretentious, it is wonderful to go to a place who appreciates everyones business, not just those whose 'names ' are known. You can see why its been in business so long. They know what matters and take pride in every meal served."

"I went in without having looked them up before, and informed the server behind the counter about my celiac and if they had gluten free options. They did have gluten free options, almost all the icecream they were serving that day were gf, she said she could serve me safely. I wanted to know their cross-contact protocol and she got really rude/angry at me, almost yelling that she knew how to serve me as they have good allergen protocols and also serve people with severe nut allergy. So I kind of felt bullied into ordering without knowing what she was going to do, but decide to go for it as I could always give it away. They do have a good allergen protocol. Switched gloves, grabbed a new clean scoop, new container with ice cream that had not yet been touched. Also scoops were hugeeeeeee. I felt assured it was safe for me to eat and I didn’t feel sick. Chocolate flavor was yummy. Just too bad that they got so rude while I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t going to get sick."

"We were really looking forward to this restaurant, but unfortunately we were faced with unprofessional, sloppy service where food was delivered haphazardly, making others of our party wait on both appetizers and entrees; wait service people who didn’t seem to know what they were doing; overcooked fish on a night that wasn’t that busy – so there was no excuse for any of it. It was a huge disappointment."

"A hidden gem. We stumbled across this place while stopping for gas and we were hungry. I was a little hesitant about ordering pizza from the back of a gas station, but the place was charmingly rustic, surprisingly large/busy, and most importantly it smelled fantastic! Ordered a couple pizza slices to-go and they were delicious. A great spot to grab a slice when you're on the road. Note: they offer menu items other than pizza but we just ordered slices at the counter and did not look at the menu."
