"Lake City Bakery and Eatery in Polson, MT, is a must-stop spot for travelers journeying between Kalispell and Missoula. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and invited to choose our own seats. As a connoisseur of breakfast classics, I always begin with biscuits and gravy to gauge the quality of an establishment. Here, the scratch-made gravy immediately impressed with its perfect balance of saltiness. It lacked black pepper, but a few dashes from the shaker on the table was quick to remedy it. Paired with housemade flaky biscuits, it set the tone for an exceptional meal. The chicken fried steak was another standout, boasting a perfectly crispy exterior and a well-seasoned interior. Accompanied by the delectable gravy and crunchy, buttery hash browns, each bite was a delight. For coffee lovers, the hazelnut option provided a flavorful twist to the classic cup of joe. And the huckleberry pancakes, generously studded with juicy berries and served with ample butter and syrup, were a decadent treat. With tempting offerings like donuts, pies, and espresso coffee, Lake City Bakery and Eatery promises many future visits from our crew. It's sure to become a regular stop on our travels."

Always love local bakeries. This one is as authentic as it was years ago. Fresh pastries are made in the middle of the night when the rest of us are still sleeping. Great atmosphere and staff are like family.

Parking is limited to about 8 to 10 cars on the block, with approximately five spaces available on each side of the street. It’s not clear where additional vehicles should park. For families, there are plenty of appealing options on the menu that kids will enjoy, making it a kid-friendly spot. Visualizza piatti

Definitely will go back when we're in the area. Their breakfast were delish, I had Huck hotcakes my husband had chicken fried steak gravy. Everything homemade. Highly recommended be sure to get there early enough since how this place is always packed. They also have homemade dougnuts, cinnamon rolls other pastries you can buy to go. The location is not far from Flathead lake, you can get your food eat it at the the park not too far from there. Very nice park by the lake.

We will definitely return when we're in the area. Their breakfast was delicious! I had the Huck hotcakes, and my husband enjoyed the chicken-fried steak with gravy. Everything is homemade, and I highly recommend it. Just be sure to arrive early, as this place is always busy. They also offer homemade donuts, cinnamon rolls, and other pastries to take away. The location is not far from Flathead Lake, so you can grab your food and enjoy it at a lovely park nearby. It's a really nice spot by the lake!

"A restaurant that lives off of people that will only walk through the doors once! BE WARNED: IF YOU NEED MORE THAN GOOD SERVICE AND GOOD APPLE PIE, KEEP DRIVING... This dump tricks you right off the bat by looking charming, kitsch, inviting, and maybe even a little historic on both the inside and outside. But I don 't know about you: food is cheap, and restaurants have a DUTY to feed you generously and creatively. Betty 's is nothing less than slapping lipstick on a pig-of-a-restaurant: it 's a terrible trap for unknowing tourists hungry after a long ride to Flathead Lake. KEEP DRIVING!!! Don 't fall into this trap! Let 's start off with the good: very nice and attentive staff. No wait to get seated. The apple pie we bought before we left to bring to a family gathering later that same day got rave reviews. And now the bad: the food was awful, the portion sizes were small, making the price for both the time wasted and money spent humiliating! It 's yet another painful example of awful management and shameful ownership that come together to produce a terrible tourist trap and end-feeling that (1) you got ripped off, (2) you just wasted precious vacation/family time at Flathead Lake, (3) and damn that waiter was so nice, but I hate to condone this experience with a tip... whatever... ok... I 'll do it . Want specifics? No problem. Keep reading: The burger could not have been more of an insult!!! At the suggestion of the waitress, I ordered the mushroom and Swiss cheese burger that was exquisitely detailed on the menu. I should have taken a picture of the crap served!!! A small, 3 1/2 inch bun was served with a kiss of mayo on one side, open faced with the smallest 2oz thin over cooked joke-of-a-patty on the other side of the bun. I promise you patty had the equivalent of one Velvita-slice of Swiss cheese melted with maybe a tablespoon of chopped mushrooms on top. Make no mistake: any burger on McDonald 's menu was bigger than this insult. Even worse: THAT WAS IT!!! No lettuce, no tomato, no onion. The French fries were disgusting, and a small portion. Soggy, clearly pre-frozen, anemic white colored: no golden-brown or crispy experience. Ketchup was needed to drown out the experience entirely. The entree salad was small and uninviting. The kids meal chicken tenders were what you 'd expect from a bag from Costco. Even the diet soda was off-balanced between syrup and soda water! Gross, gross, gross!!!"
