"I would love to be able to write a review for Mesa tacos but, unfortunately my family wasn’t able to experience anything they had to offer. I had hoped to take my family to dinner here while they were visiting from Las Vegas. I ate here a few years ago and remembered it as a fun place with fairly good food. As we are a large group (10 people), I called ahead to make a reservation. The hostess informed me that Mesa doesn’t take reservations. She said I could be placed on a waiting list on the Open table app and suggested doing so at 6:45 for a 7 pm seating, which we did. Upon our arrival at 7 pm the hostess let us know that we were still looking at a 35-45 minute wait with no guarantee of actually being seated in that time frame. With no place to wait inside we made ourselves as comfortable as we could in the outdoor tent which was slightly warmer than outside. We had two toddlers and an infant so not ideal and the hostess certainly did nothing to make us feel welcome in any way including letting us know when we might be able to be seated. At 7:45 I checked in with the hostess to get an update and was told that there was only one table that could accommodate us and that the guests at that particular table were “just hanging out” and that there was nothing she could do. I do understand that Mesa has limited seating but by this time we were really cold and hungry. Messenger pizza was warm and had huge slices of pizza and a table for us all so we ended up there!! Kind of a frustrating evening. I won’t attempt to go here again."

"Order on their website for macaroon cookies. Anyone with a brain knows a plural s means multiples. Only received one cookie. Called the store and they said I had to work with door dash for a refund despite it's their website that plural cookies. Then they hung up on me. Went to door dash and they send me back to them for a refund but they won't do it! Both door dash and their website list macaroon cookies so you should get more than one cookie. It is a complete scam. Don't waste your money on them"

"We went to the car show in Nampa. Afterward, we dropped in for breakfast at La Baron's Honker Cafe. The waitress was sweet and attentive. The building was old but clean. The food was just okay. We both left most of the food on our plates. I had a spinach omelet. It wasn't good, and my hubby had chicken fried steak. The steak was excellent. The biscuits were hard, and the gravy tasted like flour. The potatoes were very good and so was the toast. Maybe we will come back another time and try something different."

"First and foremost, this is hands down the best restaurant in Treasure Valley. The ambiance created by the windows around the tables, the bar, and the attentive staff enhances the overall experience. We visited for the first time last week, and everyone in our group was thrilled with their experience. I highly recommend the turkey melt and the granatapfel lachs. For dessert, you must try the bread pudding and deconstructed German chocolate cake. We already have a few special occasions planned, and they will all be celebrated at Brick 29."

"We ordered the Carne asada tortas. The meat had good flavor. The only complaint I would say with the food was that the bread wasn't toasted enough, so they kind of just fell apart when you would pick it up to eat it. The food was a little overpriced for what you get but was within the normal high range for a Mexican restaurant."
