Absolutely DELICIOUS! I ordered their incredibly fresh and tasty chicken salad wrap, along with the best cappuccino I've had in ages. While Starbucks makes a great cappuccino, LJ Beaners' cappuccino is even better! The pastries are absolutely incredible, the mac and cheese is substantial, and the sandwiches are delightful. The service is quick and friendly as well. We had lunch, but the breakfasts served until 10:30 also looked fantastic. I would definitely recommend this place if you're in the area or even if you’re within a 50-mile radius. It's worth the journey!

This delightful little bakery and café serves breakfast and lunch and is conveniently located just off the main road. We decided to stop in for coffee and a light snack on our way back from the Outer Banks, and it proved to be a far superior choice to the fast food options available along the highway! I've ordered the same items before—two lattes, a baked good, a plain bagel, and an everything bagel with bacon, egg, and cheese. In the past, I've never waited more than 15 minutes, even during busy times. However, this time, my order took 28 minutes to be ready, which feels unacceptable. I placed my order ahead of time specifically to avoid a long wait, but it seemed like my online order was given lower priority.

The place was hopping when we stopped in on a recent road trip! The fruit, yogurt, and granola parfait was FANTASTIC! I was tickled to find some retro candy for sale and purchased pop rocks and a candy necklace for my grandson Kid-friendliness: So many moms with their littles were there! The coffee exceeded my expectations and they had great non-dairy choices available. The cashier recommended their oat milk alternative, which I found to be delicious. I’ll definitely be returning for coffee every time we visit Moyock. However, my pastry didn’t quite live up to my hopes, which is why I'm rating them 4 out of 5 stars. Despite its appealing appearance, it was a letdown—too sweet and more fluff than substance. It resembled something from a French bakery, but unfortunately, it didn’t deliver on that promise.
