"The waitress was upset that she didn't get paided her 20 percent. Apparently they work on 20 percent tips not hourly there. The scallops were huge, not cooked...they were cooked from frozen which maybe we can understand. The bowel of Lobster bisque..was a cup to me. Compared to other places along Maine. This place had a server with an attitude and was acting like a very entitled person. Good looks may get you in the door my dear, but one word out of your mouth gets the door slammed in your face. Also to the owners of it's an expectation you may want to have it posted..not everyone is from Maine..do.your business a favourite and post it that it is suggested, mandatory, or put it on your debit machine. Customers work hard for their money and you have no idea who can afford or not afford. Yes you did loose out on this one, not by us not according but because we don't reward bad behaviour."

We happened to drop in for lunch one afternoon, and we were pleasantly surprised by the shrimp po' boy. It was truly delicious! We can't wait to visit again!

I do not like this place. It is over priced. The service is poor. It is in such a great location but apart from that it just a sub par place taking advantage of tourists.

We found ourselves at a picnic table in late August directly overlooking the Atlantic. Lobster bisque and a haddock sandwich were very good, though pricey. Friendly service in a family environment. Visualizza piatti

No substitutes even when you want a $3 side instead of a $4 side. Makes no sense as 99% of restaurants do substitutions. Food was good. Service was a bit inattentive as I ran out of water a little over halfway through my meal and had to drink my husband's.

The portions are generous, the service is quick, and the prices are reasonable. The only downside was the presence of flies inside. I realize it's that time of year, but it was quite distracting trying to keep them away from the food. However, the food itself was delicious! Visualizza piatti

First night in Maine and we stopped here for dinner. I had the haddock cakes and corn on the cob, Mom had calamari and green beans, Dad had mussels and red potatoes. Everything was tasty and well cooked. We finished the night with some dessert. They don't joke about the carrot cake being mile high!

I had a wonderful time dining by the sea with a fantastic view of the ocean. The tables were well set up with umbrellas to provide shade from the sun, and the nearby gift shop was a pleasant surprise. I ordered the lobster roll with fries, and it was absolutely divine! The chicken fingers had a great balance of meat to breading, accompanied by delicious ranch dressing, although the meat was a little dry. We also tried the onion rings, which were perfectly sweet and crunchy. I appreciated the fun touch of serving the chicken finger basket on a frisbee. As for parking, there is a dedicated lot for the restaurant, separate from the beach parking.

"Imagine the strange offspring of a Maine coast seafood restaurant with a Lyonnaise bouchon. Transport yourself back to 1972. Presto, you're at Chez Michel. There's no shortage of professionalism here our reservation is handled well and we are seated on time. Likewise our wise crackin' waitress is old school competent. But i wish she hadn't steered me to that Whitehaven New Zealand sauvignon blanc it tasted like jug wine. I started with steamers, never a bad idea in Maine and they were almost as good as the one's at Abel's. The French bread that came along was more New Orleans than Orleans, but that's allright. It's nice to get a salad included with your meal, but my wife's contained the core of lettuce that should have been thrown away, so points off for that. Both our mains pleased. The missus enjoyed a haddock a la meuniere, and based on the recommendations of Yelpers past I plumped for the duck au poivre. The duck was tender and plentiful, a small breast, and half of a second for good measure. Cooked perfectly, with a trace of pink and juicy. The rich sauce was addicting learn to make this sauce and you could float a restaurant with little more. The potato croquettes were also old school, reminded me of ones served by Northern Italian restaurants in Philly in the 80s. I accompanied this course with a glass of the generic house pinot noir which I enjoyed more than the Whitehaven. For dessert, the Tuxedo creme brulee. I was expecting something that looked like a black and white cookie, but what arrived was a regular creme brulee with a chocolate mousse layer on the bottom. I would still go back to try the rabbit pate, the lobster stew or more of that heavenly duck."
