"Here 's another restaurant review brought to you by a visit to Chama (2019 . (We 're going back for sure at some point! If you 've never been to Chama it 's pretty quaint, and almost feels like you 're on a movie set. I think the Main Street is all of three city blocks, but... it 's full of activity (being a ski resort! ... and history (we rode a coal-engine train! Feeling cold and hungry we stumbled upon this gem... don 't let the exterior fool you. It used to be a drug store then it was converted into a restaurant called LOCAL which serves farm-to-table, local organic dishes. Of course, with me, pizza is always on the menu... but how can you blame me when the visual alone was so inviting... spinach and mushrooms ALWAYS go together, after all. And the employees were all super helpful, giving us their recommendations! (I love playing "ask a stranger! . #gourmetrecovery #lovemygreens #chamalocal #supportlocalsmallbusinesses"

LOVED THIS PLACE!!!!! Great pizza and food options. I didn't get the chicken Alfredo but it looked amazing. Our pizza was amazing and the beer selection rocks!!!! And very very reasonably priced. Modern feel in a small town!!

This place will never change no matter who they bring in. You need real Chefs with real wood fire experience. I was back there in 2022 and there were 2 Chefs then that were great but they quit. They should have listened to those guys bc the food was great and the place was always packed!! Visualizza piatti

The staff were friendly, the pizza was tasty, and the beer selection was intriguing. The outdoor dining area was also enjoyable. However, I noticed that a 15% service fee is automatically added to the bill. While the wood-fired pizza was delicious, it felt slightly overpriced for its relatively small size. I would have appreciated a bit more speck for the additional $2. We ordered one pizza and two beers (around 10-12 oz each), and the total came to $32.46.

We stopped in after our train ride and based on previous reviews we were hungry and pumped to eat here. I was happy to see they have a great ambiance with good music, but that 's really not why we stopped in. The service was slow, rude, and they acted as though they didn 't want us there. Both restrooms were out of order. An automatic service charge of %15 was added to the exorbitant price. The buns and meat on the burgers were both dry. The pizza was cooked at the wrong temp. It was both burnt and under done. Save yourself the trouble and stop at the local gas station for dinner.

One of two restaurants in Chama that I consider really good (the other is Outlaw BBQ). On our most recent visit, we had 3 pizzas: buffalo chicken (a special not on the regular menu), Yard Bird, and pepperoni. All were really good; the buffalo chicken was my favorite. I advise ordering, up front, everything you plan to drink. Having finished a great milk stout beer, and there being no sign of our food, I went back to get another and was firmly told to go to the end of the (food ordering) line. Before I got to order again, most of the beers, including the milk stout, had run dry. It was a half hour before I made it back to our table, but I did beat the pizzas. Visualizza piatti

The village of Chama is small, yet majestic. Surrounded by golden aspens blooming in October. The view is breathtaking, the clouds are dreamy and deer are walking around freely. When it comes to restaurants and bars, there's like 5 to choose from, and they all seem to be made from old houses... which isn't bad at all.... But when if you keep driving through that one road that is Chama.... You'll hit this new age pizzeria!! You can't help but want to stop for a beer here!!! Local beers like ex novo and marble from Albuquerque. As well as an impressive wine list! The pizza menu is simple, yet refined. We got the Margarita pizza and the verde pizza! I'm so excited that we stopped here

The staff is generally friendly, except for the person making the pizzas, who was quite rude when I inquired about the status of our pizza after a 45-minute wait. There is no table service; instead, food is delivered, and tables are cleared by staff, leaving no server available for questions. The food itself was decent; the greens appeared fresh but were somewhat wilted. The antipasto had a nice variety of seasoned nuts, really good dried fruits, and a few cheeses, but the meats were bland and lacked flavor. The pizza, on the other hand, was excellent. Food from the kitchen took an excessively long time to arrive, with each course coming out over the course of an hour, making it hard for us...

"So thankful this place was open! We spent two nights in Chama and were surprised to find that all the restaurants (except this one and Subway) were closed by the middle of the afternoon! On a weekend! The train is obviously this town's lifeblood and to be closing restaurants before the train and the return bus arrive back in town is beyond comprehension. So, after cruising the entire town, we settled on the Chama Grill. The dining room was closed, but the drive-thru was open. The wait to order was somewhat long, but when you're hungry and nothing else is open, you'll wait : Thankfully, the food was actually quite delicious and ready by the time we got to the window. We had ordered a green chili burger and the fish and chips meal and both were tasty. The young man at the window was very nice. We pulled into a parking spot in the parking lot and ate while the food was hot.We had only one negative experience, but decided not to take away a star since I know how hard it is to find good help. Only commenting here so the owner can speak with the staff about how inappropriate this was. As I was eating, I watched in my side mirror as one of the employees (who was sitting in his van), got out and relieved himself in the corner by the restaurant. He later walked across the parking lot and I saw he was wearing a Chama Grill shirt, which identified him as an employee. I saw the employees occasionally letting people into the locked restaurant (presumably to use the facilities), so I'm sure they would have let an employee in when he needed to use the restroom."
