The food at this restaurant was amazing. I especially enjoyed the tamales and beef tacos. I highly recommend this place! The service was a bit slow, but the restaurant was very busy.

I have never had a negative dining experience at this restaurant. The staff is always attentive, and the food is consistently simple yet delicious. I only wish they offered delivery to Westchester.

Oh my goodness!!! The Camarofongo is a delicious dish from the Dominican Republic made with shrimp and plantains. You have to try it before you die, it's that good! Be sure to enjoy it with a Presidente beer. Ask for Mrs. Carmen for the best service, you'll love her. - manudominguezm

If I could give zero stars, I would. The waitresses were unprofessional and it took over 38 minutes for our food to arrive. The service was terrible and I do not recommend dining in this restaurant. The loud music and excessive air conditioning made for a really unpleasant experience.

Fantastic. Great authentic Dominican food! The best strategy here is to just order a bunch of things family style so you can try it all. Everything I had here, friend plantains, yucca, chicken, beans, ect. was all tasty and delicious. The service is good and the food is delicious and affordable. Give this place a try. The service at this restaurant was terrible. We waited over an hour for a steamed fish with no snacks offered during the wait. It was not mentioned beforehand that the dish would take an hour to prepare. We also ordered shrimp ceviche as an appetizer while waiting, but it did not taste very good. Overall, we were very disappointed and do not plan on returning.

This place is a joke the food was okay but the service is a 0 starting I went this sunday with my family ,I been there few times and I kind of like the food but the service is always bad they bring the food but not utensils this is everytime they forgot your drinks ,they never come and ask if everything is fine and in top of that at the end they bring you your check with the tips already included what a joke !!!!

Dominican Food Heaven. My cousin married into a Dominican family and she introduced me to Dominican food. Wow, it was amazing. Several years ago I was in Washington Heights and I asked around for the best Dominican restaurant and everyone I asked said that El Malecon was the best and they were right. The Mofongo was perfection on a plate. The rotisserie chicken was very tender and tasty. If there is a perfect way to make rice and beans, they have figured it out at El Malecon. I think the Sangria really topped off the meal. My dining partner and I agree that this was a wonderful experience.Oh, and just a couple of short blocks from the train. Visualizza piatti
