Mama Coco Cantina - Piatti

I really enjoy ordering the Mexican Spaghetti and Mama's Dip from this restaurant. I've tried several other dishes, but these are definitely my favorites. Plus, they're available on DoorDash!

Everything was delicious, and the waitress was incredibly friendly. The atmosphere was pleasant, too. I expected to see more customers on a Saturday, as the place has a unique charm and is really great. Definitely worth a visit!

We decided to visit based on a friend's recommendation. The restaurant doesn’t look like much from the outside, but the food truly impressed us. The unwelcoming and negative attitude of the staff greatly overshadows the quality of the food. If you're not enjoying what you're doing, perhaps it's time to find a profession that you love. The staff here is fantastic—friendly and laid-back. The chips and salsa were excellent. We also tried the momma dip, which was delicious and could almost serve as a meal on its own due to the generous portion of meat. I would give this a five-star rating, but the imitation crab in the otherwise tasty pineapple filled with seafood and grilled vegetables brought it down a notch. I suggest either using real crab or omitting it altogether, as I feel it doesn't add anything significant. Aside from that, the food is really great!

I was pleasantly surprised by the wonderful atmosphere inside the restaurant. The food was fantastic! I had the chilaquiles, and my brother enjoyed the huevos with chorizo, beans, and rice. I wasn’t particularly fond of the charro beans I ordered as a side; they tasted more like hotdogs to me, but that might just be a matter of personal preference, so I won’t let that affect my overall rating. Based on the reviews, I had high expectations for this Mexican restaurant, but unfortunately, I was left disappointed. The Mexican spaghetti suggested by our waitress contained only about a quarter cup of noodles and had very little sauce. The cheese dip arrived clumpy and excessively thick, making it quite unappetizing. The salsa tasted like it came from a can of crushed tomatoes. Although the dining area was spacious and well-lit, the air conditioning wasn’t functioning effectively, and they had two large industrial fans running. The service was decent, but it wasn’t enough to make me want to return.

On the bright side, every main dish we've tried has been excellent, and the street corn is fantastic! Their Texas and Coconut Margaritas are great too; in fact, ordering a pitcher costs the same as two large drinks, making it a better value if you're with a group. Make sure to ask if the flan is fresh since it's the best you'll ever taste when it is. However, if it's been sitting for a day or two, it's not as good. One downside is that the service can vary—sometimes it's great, and other times it's lacking, depending on the server.
