This was my husband and my first visit to this restaurant. You can choose to sit indoors or outside on the terrace. We opted to sit inside since it was a bit cooler. He ordered the steak while I had a pound of chicken wings with fries. Both dishes were very good! He really enjoyed himself.

If I could give this place negative stars, I definitely would. It's so awful that I wouldn't even feed my dog the food. When I ordered the chicken broccoli Alfredo, there was no chicken in it! The taste was terrible and so greasy that it made me feel sick. The fries that came with my friend's sandwich were also greasy and undercooked. The bathroom facilities were also lacking; there were five paper towel dispensers, but only one was working properly. Our waitress was friendly, but her serving technique was concerning—she often carried dishes next to or even on her chest, which didn’t seem appropriate. To top it off, the fish was served lukewarm. Overall, I was really looking forward to our meal, but this experience left me feeling quite disappointed.

Whenever I visit New York, I always make a point to savor the local cuisine. I have a particular fondness for small, independent restaurants like this one. The portions here are generous and authentic, rather than dictated by corporate standards. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff is friendly. However, the restroom could use a bit more attention when it comes to cleanliness and supplies—perhaps it's due for an upgrade. Overall, it's a wonderful dining spot that serves excellent food at reasonable prices for those who take the time to appreciate it.

During our cross-country journey from California to Vermont, we discovered the Mapleview Family Restaurant, and we couldn't have been happier. The food was exceptional, and our waitress was exceptionally helpful and accommodating. Not only did she give us directions, but she also had the most warm and welcoming personality. Despite handling the entire dining area by herself, she managed everything with grace and efficiency. Whenever I pass through New York, I make it a point to stop by this restaurant because the food is simply the best. I really appreciate small, independent establishments like this one. We decided to try this restaurant for lunch after reading a positive review online. Located at a truck stop, we expected decent food in a clean, though not extravagant, environment. Unfortunately, we were greeted by a dirty table, which was promptly cleaned for us. When I placed my order, my tartar sauce, salad, and silverware took a while to arrive. To top it off, the lettuce on my burger was black and slimy. The bathrooms were in terrible condition, with five paper towel dispensers but only one functioning. If you are travelling up or down I-81 and need a little or a large snack, this is the place to stop. It's the exit for Mexico, (New York). This is mainly a truck stop. The true American old school style truck stop. Diesel, gas, lotto, smokes, gear, snacks like pizza, and an independent family style restaurant. This no frills food frenzy is a Trucker's suppertime dream. Michelle (a server with a sense of humor, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu) will be sure to care for you. There is a front door and a back door, but no thruway from the store to the restaurant, so don't park close to any door expecting to travel through the building when it's raining poodles outside.
